OJ confesses to Oprah to killing Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman

If you're acquitted, I don't think a confession of guilt would merit a (criminal) retrial, but if you were convicted and they found out later that a witness lied, or that a juror, lawyer, or judge was bribed, or if new evidence surfaces, that would merit a new trial.

McMahon: Truth is Jason Garrett made himself look silly

You don't have to be conspiratorial to be a liar. He lied about not being bothered when Jerry gave him instructions on the field in the middle of a game a few years ago (how could he not?), and he lied about not being bothered about the play-calling demotion. Either tell the truth or say "no...

McMahon: Truth is Jason Garrett made himself look silly

The real scandal is that some fans (read: homers) don't mind being lied to. In fact, they openly welcome it if they think (wrongly) that it will somehow help the team. They're too stupid to realize that the eeeevil media are their emissaries.

Why do white people care about changing the name of the redskins so bad

The color of their skin, obviously. If you're a white settler and you don't know what to call these people, a standout physical characteristic will have to suffice. Similarly, that's why they called us "pale face."

Why do white people care about changing the name of the redskins so bad

Again, the bigots are dead, and the word was never a slur to begin with. We don't live in an Orwellian hellhole where we wish words out of existence to placate upper-class white libs. You're welcome to go to microfilm room at the LOC to find one story back in the day which described the name...

Why do white people care about changing the name of the redskins so bad

the word "redskin" wasn't considered racist or controversial when he made the change, so ascribing racism to his motives in 2013 is silly if not reckless.

Why do white people care about changing the name of the redskins so bad

because then the bigots (assuming they exist) win. why give them the satisfaction? conversely, gays took the word "queer" (another pejorative) and smartly co-opted it.

Why do white people care about changing the name of the redskins so bad

The point is that, unlike ni**er, it didn't start out as an insult, and Snyder and co. shouldn't have to pay for a few (long deceased) bigots who bastardized the word.

Why do white people care about changing the name of the redskins so bad

If it was, those people are long since dead. I've heard people put down NA's as hopeless drunks, but not deride them as "redskins."

When you use the word "discrimination" in a discussion about race or minorities, naturally I'm going to assume you mean discriminatory in a legal or negative sense.

Why do white people care about changing the name of the redskins so bad

That's a very literal interpretation. A more common definition is punishing or penalizing someone unfairly in some way. That certainly doesn't apply to Snyder's Redskins.
