generally speaking, juries acquit people they find to be innocent of the charges filed against them. the jaundiced OJ jury deliberately ignored evidence pointing to his guilt due to racial solidarity and a long-seething contempt for the LAPD. that kind of toxic stew was not in play in Sanford.
