You just described Kosier. Before Kosier came to the Cowboys, he really didn't do anything to stand out, except him shown being abused by Lavar Arrington. But he was pretty solid for us, in fact he was our most consistant Olineman.

It is that simple. In fact, your argument only gives further strength to Bigboi's. Livings was an UFDA, whereas Mathis was a 3rd round pick, and Costa/Gurode's situation is nowhere remotely similar to Livings/Mathis. Livings legitimately beat out Mathis---who bounced around to different teams...

Kiper had us taking Amukamara for most of the offseaosn, then he changed it up to J.J. Watt. It wasn't until a week before the draft he changed it for final to SMith, but by then, everybody knew we were taking Smith.

I think the point is, that if a change of scenery (team) helped Mathis, then why can it not be so for Livings?
