    Training Camp from hell

Meh, I still say we're not that bad off. How many of these are truly serious injuries? I don't even count holding someone out for a day or two for a sore hamstring as an "injury". What's going to really suck is one day when we lose a top player at a critical position for the year. What's...

Agree. It's gimmicky. On run plays only one can get the ball and neither is a blocker. Maybe once in a while you get a LB matched up on one for a pass play, but that kind of gives it away. I think we do enough "tricky" things on offense already. Miles Austin as a short-yardage tailback, anyone?

    Bernadeau will work center

I don't see why he wasn't considered a candidate there from the start.

Just think he's JAG and way overrated. And I was a huge fan of his when we drafted him. But he's a big bag of average who says a few good things to the media so people think he's way better than he is. I'm hoping the DL is Rat, Hatcher, Lissemore, Brent, the rookie, and Geathers. And the...

You guys can chill... These all sound like typical training camp strains. Not worried about these "injuries" unless they're torn knee ligaments, popped achilles, or snapped bones that are season-ending or at least take months of recovery time. Miles barely even needs training camp, especially...

    Claiborne to undergo MRI

Meh, minor MCL and he'll be fine. Sucks that he'll miss practice for a while, but his knee should be perfectly okay in a few weeks at most.

    Cole Beasley is a quitter.

Yeah, sounded like he might have something bad going on with his family or something. Hope not.

Archer: Better shape equals better Dez Bryant

He was a great athlete. Won the SEC high jump, right? Harp was one of my favorites from those teams.

Archer: Better shape equals better Dez Bryant

Moderately interesting about Harper. After hearing what a White House regular he was, I wouldn't have thought he'd put in extra workouts like that. I always thought he had a rep for being lazy.

    2012 Training Camp Thread...

Well the old military/sports adage is that the harder training is, the easier the actual event is. Up to a point of course. I think that's more about hitting than the anything to do with the heat. They're actually tackling to the ground, which almost no one does anymore. I guess my point is...

I'm with you, but all of Landry's success training in Thousand Oaks kind of kills that argument. I do laugh at all the talk about how impossible the heat is, though. Houston and New Orleans and Tampa and I think Miami all train at home, they just do it early in the morning when it isn't 100*...

Jason Witten talking about the Super Bowl again...

Yep, which is my point... Instead the narrative seems to be that we were so close to the playoffs and this year a full offseason etc is going to put us up there with the best teams in the league. I actually think we can be one of those teams, but I wish the players would cut that talk off at...

    CN- Day Three Report

I don't think the "America's Team" stuff even matters as far as why we get so much attention. If a Yankee or Laker says something even remotely controversial, it's going to get just as much attention as if a Dallas Cowboy says it. Nobody cares if an Astro or Timberwolves player says it, same...

Jason Witten talking about the Super Bowl again...

Exactly this. Superbowl or even playoffs shouldn't even be in the conversation. All I can go on is my little high school experience. We ended up having a good team and going pretty far in Texas 5A playoffs, but the only thing we ever talked about all summer was the very first game of the...

    Danny coale cowboys quiz......

Exactly. We know that Walter Payton wasn't a nosetackle and that Vince Lombardi is dead even though we aren't fans of those teams. And this isn't some random kid, but a guy who is making his living in the game and you would think loved it growing up. Maybe the simple answer is that Danny...

    Danny coale cowboys quiz......

Is he like Roy Williams and doesn't watch football, prefers movies or something? No matter where you grew up you should know those names. Maybe we can blame NFLN for their idiotic "10 Best" shows instead of the great classic NFL Films stuff.
