There's obviously a number of really good players we could come away with at 12 but considering how bad we are (and have been) at safety he's a near HR draft pick for us if we somehow get him. Major impact player for us.

Obviously we are somewhat limited in picks currently and they aren't going to use either 1st on a TE, but I absolutely won't be surprised if a later pick is used on the TE position. Maybe even a middle round pick if they make a trade or two and add some other draft capital.

It's not a bad idea (some have floated a Pickens for Crosby trade scenario) but Crosby does have the knee thing going on that needs to be considered, whereas Pickens is younger and in perfect health.
