This would entirely make sense. It gives MM 1 more year to do something and, if not, it would give Payton 2 years with Dak before the end of his contract. I don't think Payton wants to start over again with a new QB. I'd be all in on Payton......

I agree. I'm not into giving up high draft picks for coaches. Although I will say he could help Dak and bring some more structure to the team in a sense that he'd run the team. I still don't know if MM has that authority. He had no history with Moore and kept him, even though he wasn't a WCO...

Maybe it's just me but this one will be interesting to watch. If MM was at the end of his contract, you'd have to believe Jerry would make a run at Payton. But Jerry is infamously cheap and doesn't want to pay his coaches when they're no longer on the team.

That sad part is that the 9ers rebuilt their team multiple times over the last few years. They drafted Kap, went to the SB, cut him and moved on and started all over again. This is the way of the new NFL. We're just happy to be relevant, as if not having to rebuild is a badge of honor and...

I'm not a Beatles junkie by any means. But it's incredible what McCartney/Lennon have done as lyricists. Watching McCartney sit behind a piano and just bust out the tune for Let it Be but not having the lyrics written is just incredible. Same with Get Back. You don't see many bands writing...

There's so much wrong with that picture. Have you watched the Beatles mini-series "Get Back" on Disney? It's clear to me Paul McCartney was the driving force of that band and the key to their success. If I was in a group, that picture with a bandmate's girlfriend would piss me off. Sad too...

Doesn't sound good for MM. What's funny is that after years of 8 and 8 and underperforming with the Red Dolt, somehow he's pissed at MM in year 2 after a 12 and 5 (regular season). I get the issues and ultimately the HC is accountable for coaching the team, but it's till funny none the less.
