Who Here is Not Entirely Sold on Dak Prescott?

No need, if it was a little more money then it makes sense for Rush to stay in Dallas. There's no State income tax in Texas (speaking of which, I need to do mine), so after taxes he might have actually been making less or the same.

These QBs don't seem to understand that it takes a team to win the SB, or maybe they do, and they don't care. Tom Brady never won a single SB. His team did. Winning required Adam Viniterir to make his field goals, for Julian Edelman to make a highlight grab. Without other players, all QBs suck...

Who Here is Not Entirely Sold on Dak Prescott?

Were those offers for the same money, less money, or more money?

Who Here is Not Entirely Sold on Dak Prescott?

Well, my 4 to 5 million per year prediction to keep Cooper Rush was on the high side, which might be a reflection of what the rest of the NFL really thinks of Cooper's skill set. If the team is not near 100% and Dak gets hurt, I still don't think Rush can win consistently. Dallas CAN win a...

With Ronald Jones, Pollard, Dowdle, and Davis I still wouldn't be mad if Bijan fell to 26. He can make plays and Pollard is essentially on a one-year deal.

As I wrote, I was focusing strictly on the blocking. Kelce takes over as a receiver. Kelce is a big receiver, called a TE. A Joker TE. If we focus solely on the blocking, which is your point about being a turnstile, the fact is so is Kelce. But nobody notices, or cares, because of his superior...

Then why did they franchise him? They must have valued him in some way. I don't know that some of the top TEs are all that much better in the run game. Kelce, for example, is not all that good at blocking. Kelce, has averaged a pass-blocking grade of 65.5 and a run-blocking grade of 66.7...

Schultz is signing a one-year deal for 9 million. I hope this means that they think Ferguson and Hendershot are going to be great because that seems like a contract the Cowboys should have been able to offer. And the chemistry Schultz already has with Dak would put him in lien for a better...

Side note, but I've always wondered about the logistics of what happens when a player who is making millions signs with another team. Like Brandin Cooks, for example, obviously has a home in Houston. We're about a 4-hour drive to Dallas. I wonder, did he drive himself up to Dallas, or did he...

Lions are putting together a really nice team. I still remember being at Bonfire (before it collapsed) and what Dan Campbell said about the Longhorn players. Pretty funny, but very politically incorrect nowadays.

This article is from last year. I don't like the idea of signing a RB to replace Zeke and based on this article I don't like the idea of signing Edoga. Mostly because if we sign a player to replace a player we lost in FA then we don't get a comp pick. Can we not draft a RB or backup guard...

People like what the Cowboys are doing, but I try to also look at what other teams are doing. It's hard to say this move counters that move etcetera. But, the Lions strike me as a team that with a little luck could be a real threat to the hopes of the Cowboys. They were a good team in the...

I get what you're saying. These are guys that teams fill in with after the draft. But in Hankins case, I'd like to see the draft pick that was given up have some ROI. In TY's case, he might still be in limbo as to if he wants to play at all. I think he's better than a "fill-in guy". He might...

By the way, if there is a post on here about me comparing Tyler Smith's PFF ranking to Jonah Williams, then that post should be deleted. I thought I had a good point, but then as I researched more, and I realized I was wrong. I pressed the backspace key instead of delete. Sometimes I'll have...

I don't like OBJ's personality either. But Jerry seemed to be all in on him. I find it curious that there seems to be no push toward resigning TY Hilton. I thought they would try. Now with Brandin Cooks on board, I think TY is out of here, but I thought he did good things in a really short time...

Those aren't all bad or even average players. Awuzie is a starter for a team that went to the SB. Diggs will get a huge contract, etc. By the way, Chidobe is still only 27 years old. There are guys in the draft who are 25 and 26 already.

To me, he is similar to larry Allen. He can play LT very well, but at LG he's better able to use his raw brute strength. It's not the end of the world if the Cowboys keep him at LT, but my hunch is they'd prefer him to play LG. I think they are hoping Tyron stays healthy, but we know that he won't.

The 35 million per year with Geno Smith is a bit of smoke and mirrors. Seattle gave themselves and out as early as 2024. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/seattle-seahawks/geno-smith-12320/

I read they wanted to move him to RT, but he now wants a trade. Jonah Williams, I think, is a bright spot on their OL.
