2024 Week Twelve: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

Score prediction for today: Surprising game. I was thinking pretty much the same. I wonder if the Commanders (gosh I hate that name) had a bunch of injuries along the DL because I was surprised W didn't dominate there.

I know I sound like a bad fan. It's great for the players and coaches, but I would have preferred to lose. Sometimes the difference in draft position can mean taking Troy Aikman or taking Tony Mandarich.

Such a shame to see a player like Austin Eckler go down with 14 (9 seconds). That's one reason Thomas should have just fallen on the ball. That could be a Cowboys player needlessly hurt.

14 seconds... now a run back for a TD and a 2 point conversion... LOL LOL

2024 Week Twelve: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

LOL... I was just about to write that I am disappointed, not pissed that we won this game...and then...and then the missed extra point. Wild game... still disappointed that we ruined our draft position. But I still have hope that we can get a top 5.

Agree, but hard work should resolve 80 percent of that. They even have virtual reality programs now that can create reps. You see the defense. You see different alignments, etc.

To be honest, I'm a little shocked Wash. aren't running away with it by now.

2024 Week Twelve: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

I think sometimes evaluators get caught projecting a bit too much. They look at Dak Prescott, for example, and they say, "Well, Dak had a poor throwing motion too, and look what he did." But they forget that Dak was a fourth-rounder, not a guy we gave up 3 number ones for. Romo was also a QB...

    Dallas Cowboys coaching staff

I think back to when Parcells had Joe Morris and later OJ Anderson. I recall Parcells running a lot, especially when the game was on the line. I'd say it was 60/40 run/pass. But the reason they were able to do that is because they developed a run first mentality. It didn't happen in one game...

    Dallas Cowboys coaching staff

I think it has more to do with calling far too many pass plays. I think if they stuck to the run more it would really help the OL in pass blocking. They are scared shitless that the game will get away from them too quickly if they go 3 and out, and that tells me they have very little confidence...

Well, Jerry prides himself on his salesmanship, so you never know. The allure of bringing the Cowboys a SB might be hard to pass up. Then he could become governor of TX too. But yes, I've heard Smart probably will not leave GA and the program and culture he has built.

If the next coach can't be Belichick/Vrabel and Kellen Moore lacks the "I'm the boss" demeaner needed to be a HC, then take a college coach. Go to someone in the college ranks who has an intimate knowledge of the top talent in college, who has the personality needed to be in Dallas. Kirby...

Starting to play around with the 2025 draft. What do you guys think of Mason Graham? He is from Michigan, so that is a HUGE RED FLAG, but he appears to be the top DT or close to it.

2024 Week Twelve: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

Part of the problem are the jackasses who work for the team and pretend to be journalists. Like I was reading on the Commanders (such a stupid name) website early in preseason that the rumor was that they thought they found themselves a real QB. Everyone was being quietly optimistic, but they...

    Day After Thoughts- Another embarrassment

It takes two to tango. But in THEORY I do think that if the Cowboys manage to get Shedeur and Prime, then it would send a very strong and obvious message that Dak's time in Dallas is done. I would hope/think that such a move would incentivize Dak to restructure his deal for a new team. But...

2024 Week Twelve: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

Well, technically a TD is 6 points, so two TDs is 12 points. Which would put the score outside the margin of two TDs. ???

This is justification to the NFL owners that there is nothing at all wrong with the cap and how it works. I'm pissing in the wind.

2024 Week Twelve: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

IMHO, the problem with what you wrote is that it isn't based on realism. Is it possible that both Jerry and Stephen decide to step down? Sure, I suppose anything is possible. How realistic is it? So, as fans, we (I think) have to try to argue within the realm of reality. So that's why talking...

2024 Week Eleven: Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys

Are you sure that Mr. "If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense (cents)" isn't merely trying to jack up his price?

You're not wrong, but given how many times Rush threw and the pressure he was under, it was at least okay. I didn't use Dam Marino for no reason. Dan Marino's highest number of attempts was 60 against the New York Jets in 1988. He completed 35 passes for 521 yards, 3 TDs and threw 5...
