Marinelli reportedly considering retiring now. Am assuming Eberflus would get the DC job if he leaves, although there were reports that said he was in line to go to New England.

Dooley was named OC at Missouri. Probably a good move for him if he wants to try and be a college HC again.

    Coach firing thread

It's a b/s story like Haleyrules said. I seriously doubt there's any truth to it. Further, I really doubt Belichick at his age is going to want to coach anywhere else.

    2018 Cowboys Draft Watch

I agree he won't give up the GM title, and even if he did I suspect it'd be just a b/s move on his part. That said, while he might give a crap about McClay I think Stevie and Garrett do, so I wonder what would happen if he gets this opportunity to leave.

Belicheat Drama In NE - GM Test

Jones wont do anything. Garrett only needs another 21 years of the process and by then he should be at about an average level of Head Coach ability.

Yep, I agree with you. He isn't coaching anywhere else.

    Wild card weekend

I wonder how the spin doctors at the NFL office are going to react when this weekend notches the lowest ratings ever for NFL playoff games.

    Coach firing thread

I am not saying I want the guy as a coach here, but just because the guy is not a good player doesn't mean he cant coach. He supposedly has a tremendous knowledge of how offenses and defenses work and if he understands the mechanics of the position and how to teach them, that's all that matters...

Yeah heard the McClay thing. Will be interesting to see if he bolts if given the chance. In the past he has turned down potential opportunities elsewhere.

It’s time to move on from Dez

Eh, Irvin was the ultimate winner. He didn't need any hand holding to stay focused.

Bisaccia being let out of his contract and will join Gruden in Oakland. it's interesting because in past years they haven't let other coaches out of their contracts, even if it was for a promotion (like Eberflus to DC elsewhere).

Putting this up for all those great assistant coach hirings/changes we will be doing, because you know, a new TE coach could be worth an extra win or two per year. remember once upon a time a certain CZ-er said our DB coach was worth two wins per year. In regards to Bisaccia, he signed an...

    Coach firing thread

If Garrett was in Cinci all those years they'd probably have been 4-12 or 5-11 Put Marvin Lewis and his staff over the years down here, and we'd probably have been 10-6 or 11-5 or something almost every year. I bet he'd won a few playoff games and maybe made a serious run or two at a...

They were one of the worst teams in the league for most of this year, but with nothing to play for they put an end to two teams playoff hopes in the last two weeks. And then, there's our sack of shit guy. Lays an egg at home in biggest game of yr and loses, then follows that up by coaching our...
