    Would we dare?

Yep, they did indeed. They drafted Justin Gilbert at 8 in 2014, Trent Richardson at 3 in 2012 and Joe Thomas 3rd in 2007

    Would we dare?

You are disregarding the fact that they have indeed drafted other QB's very early though, including several with 1st rd picks. Since the Tim Couch pick, they'd drafted the following QB's: DeShone Kizer (2nd), Cody Kessler (3rd), Johnny Manziel (1st), Brandon Weeden (1st), Colt McCoy (3rd)...

    Would we dare?

I don't think so, nor do I think it'd be a smart move at this point unless there are some behind the scenes concerns with Prescott none of us are privy to. He was too good the first 25 games of his career to essentially give up on him now (which drafting a QB in the 1st would be an admittance...

The 2018 Debacle as I see it

Yeah this has nothing to do with anything in todays league any longer. Where you finish in the standings impacts 2 games on the following year's schedule.

DMN: Why the Cowboys need to start wheeling and dealing right now

Jerry didn't "buy" a championship team. What he did "buy" was the best HC and decision maker in Jimmy Johnson. The team turned around because of Jimmy's great coaching, excellent drafting and savvy trading. Not because we "bought" any and every player we could get our hands on. There was no...

    Cowboys and free agency

He signed a 1yr deal, so it's almost assuredly a vet minimum plus some incentives type deal. I'd be all for trading for Earl Thomas depending on what it costs. If it costs a 1st or 2nd this year I wouldn't do it though. He's 29 and wants to be the highest paid safety in the league. Great...

    Cowboys and free agency

Maher is a camp leg to take some of the daily duties off Bailey and Jones. Won't be surprised if a rookie kicker is added and Maher is gone after the draft. Could see them taking a flier on someone as an UDFA.

The one and only Jaylon (Gimp) Smith thread

Have to disagree with Sturm a little on the Jaylon Smith thing. I don't grade players for a living but it was fairly obvious to me that he was moving around much better and seemed to be trusting what he saw more than simply guessing (which was obvious early on IMO)

It’s time to move on from Dez

Translation on all this: Dez and Beasley both gone. One or two new WR's coming via draft. And the team will be better off for it in 2018 and beyond.

Zeke's Offseason Eating Habits A Possible Concern

I have no idea whether he is or isn't in good shape, but weren't there pics (legit pics too) posted recently of him on vacation with all the OL? Did he look out of shape in those?
