    2018 NFL Draft Thread

I think the Johnny Manziel nonsense should put this kind of stuff to bed now. Jerry isn't making the final calls anymore, otherwise that idiot would have been a Cowboy.

    2018 NFL Draft Thread

I find it hard to believe we'd lose a draft deal that badly, so yeah. Even the year we traded up for Claiborne, they admitted that one of the main reasons they did it was because the relative cost was cheap. For us to move up to where Machota suggested should cost no more than a 3rd and maybe...

Peter King has us selecting DJ Moore at 19, passing on Ridley, LVE and Evans

Machota is a retard if he thinks it would cost our 2nd to move up 6 spots. (and get nothing else back) We'd lose by 100+ pts on that deal. (125 on the chart I am looking at, which equates to a late 3rd rd pick)

It’s time to move on from Dez

He wasn't on the medical re-check list for anything, so that's a good sign.

Walter Football 6 rd Mock. I actually would be fairly pleased with this. Like the first two picks a lot, and the day three picks are high quality too IMO. Madison would be a nice fallback option at G and even though he's a day three guy, he could legitimately win the starting LG job as a rookie...

Also said he believes they favor DJ Moore over Ridley if they have that option at WR. Of course his track record isn't all that good and ultimately he may just be throwing smoke out for the front office.

    2018 NFL Draft Thread

Posted it in another thread as well, but Broaddus thinks the Cowboys would go LB over other positions if the board plays out the way they want. Says the organization loves LVE.

It’s time to move on from Dez

FWIW Broaddus seems to think the Cowboys would take a LB over other positions at 19, still saying the team loves LVE

It’s time to move on from Dez

I have no idea. He'd add a lot to the team and be a tremendous leader for all our young DB's, so it's hard not to want him. That said if we had to give anything more than a mid rd pick this yr and next yr (or maybe a mid rd pick and a player like Heath or Beasley) then I probably wouldn't want...

It’s time to move on from Dez

Don't know where you got the idea Byron Jones was getting 9 mils for this season. His salary is just over a million and he counts a total of 2.7mils on the cap for us this year. Plus they moved him to CB, so not sure why you think that would prevent us from going after a guy to play FS. Beasley...

    Cowboys and free agency

He'll get a chance to compete for a starting job. Seems like Richards likes him at CB and he has always had an affinity for bigger CB's. If he did win the starting CB job we'd potentially have two big CB's that can run (Jones and Awuzie) plus a really high upside slot CB in Lewis, and a young...

Cowboys expected to pick up Byron Jones’ 2019 option Posted by Josh Alper on April 22, 2018, 8:48 AM EDT The Cowboys are changing Byron Jones‘ position this year and it looks like they hope to have him at cornerback for at least the next two seasons. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that...

It’s time to move on from Dez

I know he's the bigger name and the more proven guy, at this point I cant say for sure that he is definitely "better" than what we have. We really need people that can run good routes and get open, and he obviously isn't that anymore. I think Beasley is gone either during the draft ir right...

It’s time to move on from Dez

I don't doubt he'll get a job Dodger. I'm saying if he was still considered a top-tier talent he'd have been scooped up the second he hit the streets. You said teams would wait till after the draft to sign him. Nobody would wait till after the draft if he was a game changer.
