    Monday Morning General Manager

Luxury pick in the fact we knew he was injured and there was a good chance his 2011 contributions would be minimal. It's great to steal a great player later in the draft. It's my opinion that we weren't in a position to be able to afford to do that.

    Monday Morning General Manager

You are right but I'm pretty comfortable saying it. Sensabaugh is awful so the bar is not very high for Moore to leap over. Also, why is it okay to assume Carter will be awesome but not okay to predict Moore will be a pretty damn good Free Safety? Is optimisim only allowed with Cowboy youngsters?

    Monday Morning General Manager

Carter was a great linebacker in college but he was 1)injured and 2) a 4-3 OLB. He will hopefully end up being a damn good linebacker. We just weren't in a position to reasonably take that risk. We needed and still do need, immediate help. Moore is better than Sensabaugh and that's who we have...

    Monday Morning General Manager

No but Moore fills a more immediate and huge need. I have yet to be convinced he wasn't worthy of our 2nd round pick. This team had too many holes/needs to take a luxury pick like Carter.

Don't agree. He's Denver's starting Free Safety, Bruce Carter has yet to wear a helmet. We've could have also gone Stefen Wisniewski with our 2nd round pick.

    Monday Morning General Manager

It's been well documented how I felt on all 3 of those. How different would this team looked had we drafted Rahim Moore in the 2nd, John Moffitt in the 3rd, and then maybe sign Ricky Williams as a short-yardage back-up RB. Maybe even a veteran CB for depth. No need to bring back Sensabaugh (a...

    Monday Morning General Manager

You saw what I saw. What moves do you make today? I'm not asking what do you think Jerry will do, this is what you as General Manager does today and these next few weeks. Today I have a meeting with my NFL scouts and I tell them I want them to focus on Guards and Safeties from other NFL teams...

Which is true. If the Jets are going to keep Revis on him then that helps out WR#2, WR#3. etc. He becomes a valuable decoy. But you damn sure don't throw it to him in that case.

2012 Draft Watch - Labor Day Weekend

Andrew Luck*, QB, Stanford Height: 6-4. Weight: 235. - We'd have to go 2 and 14 to have a chance at him and I just don't see that kind of collapse under Garrett. Matt Barkley*, USC Height: 6-2. Weight: 230. -You guys know I love USC so trust me when I tell you that watching Barkley is like...

Did the Cowboys make the right call by not challenging Tony Romo's fumble early in th

Have to agree with this. With the lead, being an away game, and the injuries to the CB's, you line up in goal line and hand it off 3 times. Best case scenario is you punch it in. Worst case scenario, you take as much time off the clock as possible and take the FG. Garrett needs to learn from...

    Losers

NO I get that. What I'm saying is you have to have the ability to do that so you can't just think you'll be okay with Felix and suspect interior O Linemen. If Garrett had that mentality then maybe he goes out and gets a better guard/center and a power back. Easy to blame Romo and he deserves...

Yep. Right about then someone tweeted that Romo was more Danny White and less Aikman and Staubach.

Garrett's main issue to me is not understanding the need to grind it out, run the ball up the middle, get the tough yards. The interior OL is going to haunt us all year long. Sometimes you just need to call old school football plays. We need to be stronger in the middle and we need a back who...

    2011 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

Interior OL must improve so we can run between the tackles. Without the ability to do that, Garrett and Romo will try to get cute on Offense. Defense, well we knew about the secondary (safeties) and we did almost nothing about it. We will get healthy with a Win against an awful 49er team next week.
