That's not entirely true.
First off, he always had Aaron Rodgers (and for one or two yrs Favre) and a good group of receivers and TE's, so yeah, they were a pass heavy team. As any other coach would probably choose to do with that same situation.
Second, with a couple of exceptions he never...
How many punts or turnovers afterward? Any?
I guess there was the one vs Houston with the GL stand (turnover on downs) so that was a win.
5 tds seems pretty fucking awful.
Last week the moron owner was asked if how they played vs Houston concerned him, and the clown said no.
I haven't seen any comments about yesterdays debacle yet, has the idiot spoken any?
How many tds and fgs?
The mark of a great defense is one that holds even when it's put into bad positions. Even if turnovers happen on our side of the field, a great defense more often than not holds opposing teams to FG's.
Seems ours folds like a cheap tent everytime.
I don't know that he insists on it. If he does he shouldn't be involved in anything with game planning (even though in this instance, telling them to run more is CORRECT)
At the end of the day it doesn't (and shouldn't) matter if they throw it 60 times or run it 60 times. Just score points...
Unbelievable stat note that is impossible to believe.
The last time an opponent was called for offensive holding?
GREEN BAY game, 2nd qtr.
That's 5 full games and 5 1/2 overall.
Meanwhile we've had quite a few OL holding calls (one game we actually had 3), and the even harder to achieve...
Brian Schottenheimer is actually the one designing most of the run game now. McCarthy hired him in the offseason and it hasn't gotten much attention at all, but he was brought on to specifically address the run game.
And the results have clearly been better this year.
Could be.
Although it wasn't like our pass rush the first half of the season was because of some overly exotic/creative blitz schemes. We were getting there pretty consistently with 4 guys.
Now they don't even sniff the QB.
I won't lie to you, I don't like a lot of our run game design. But that's a sample size of 16 running plays (all 16) and that is not good. They obviously made some adjustments at halftime to what we were doing because we ran the ball much better in the first half.
He played a good game other than that one horrible pick he threw on our end of the field. I also thought one or two of the sacks were his fault.
Otherwise he did his job. He put points on the board, we moved the ball consistently and ultimately possessed it more than the other team. We had a...
Nothing was different in that situation with no timeouts other than they had the OPTION to throw one more ball into the middle of the field.
I don't know what game you remember watching, but Jacksonville had no problem with pass protection or throwing the ball inside and outside. Had they not...
