Normally agree but this problem needs to be fixed. The falloff from Jake Long is significant with the possible exception of Branden Albert. This isn't really a realistic solution but signing random scrubs and thinking our coaches are going to coach them up isn't really working either.
Long...
Next year's line:
LT Jake Long (Free Agent)
LG Dallas Thomas (3rd round pick)
C Khaled Holmes (2nd round pick)
RG Barrett Jones (1st round pick)
RT Tyron Smith
Problem solved. Never happen but still, a nice little dream.
They ranked teams on the drafted players that have stayed on the team's roster from the last 4 drafts.
Want to guess who was last?

It would be bush league if a team was doing it when they are down by 2 scores with a few seconds left. As long as there is a chance the other team can win they should be able to play defense.
At least now you know it's coming.
To me that's like saying someone is going to get hurt when teams go for it on 4th and 1. Button up your chin strap and stop the guy.
It..is..football. Line up and block the guy in front of you. He has bad intentions. Don't cry about it, stop him.
Then again this game is becoming less and less football.
Pretty soon defense will be played by politely asking the ball carrier to stop running towards the end zone.
Sorry, all my guys are first or second round guys.
Miami's Seantrel Henderson is a bit of a knucklehead but at 6 foot 8, 340 lbs, and with basketball players' feet, I might take a chance if he slips to the 3rd round. I also like Virginia's Oday Aboushi as a 3rd or 4th round guy.
the free agency crop looks very thin and it's not like Jerry to admit failure so soon. Bernadeau, Living, and Parnell all got new contracts this year. Free is only in his 2nd year of the 5 year extension so the cap hit may be too big. Cook was also recently extended for another year. Add Smith...
The argument is that since the OL can't block, Garret needs to change it up and call quicker plays. Your argument is we tried a screen with the first play. That first play was slow developing by design and required the linemen to hold their blocks longer.
Garrett needs to get a better feel for...
One, I don't buy that anyone other than Jerry is calling the shots.
Two, we didn't ignore the OL (with the exception of Center). We threw good money at two players (Bernadeau and Livings) that many felt were not good enough. We made bad calls. We've also given pretty healthy extensions to Doug...
You gotta hope that whatever the scouts saw in Matt Johnson is legit and that he can get healthy in the next 21 days (bye in 2 weeks). If he isn't healthy by then then WTH is he doing on the active 53?
