Yep, most mocks have him off the board by #14, and I don't see Jerry trading up in the first round at all.

Well, I remember Jerry saying that the front seven was one of the strengths of the team. Assuming he wasn't lying through his teeth (big if), that would seem to make CB and OL a higher priority than DT.

That's just it. By the time you get to 14, you're generally talking about the third best corner or third best pass rusher, because the better ones have already been snatched up. So would you rather have the best guard or the best runner-up at corner?
