Fine, let's keep the best player on a team that can't win with him anyway. We won't progress towards a championship, but we'll have Tony's exciting razzle dazzle.
Except the D had nothing to do with those picks, and I doubt the playcalling asked him to overthrow Ogletree, underthrow Austin, and throw a hideous pick to a linebacker in crunchtime. That's bad decision making, not shitty playcalling.
But he gets it done with #2 types at RB and WR. Gronk is the exception. You could make the case that Tony gets less out of a better cast of skill players. I know, I know. It's futile because of the offensive line.
Look at NE. Name a superstar on that team but for Brady really. Players come and go there yet they pile up the points. We don’t pile up the points save for panicky two-minute drills when we fall behind. Brady can put the team on his back when the D or running game ain't working; Romo can't.
Who the fuck is #20, and why didn't he make that ST tackle after the Ogletree TD? He had the guy dead to rights. It was such a deflating moment to give up a big kickoff return like that, followed by Hatcher's idiocy.
