If they're going to go that route, he still has to get confirmed by the Senate (I believe). This was an issue with Jack Smith who was never approved as Special Counsel and I also believe this went up to SCOTUS or at least was mentioned in one of their rulings.

Of course we can only speculate but maybe he has a shot at the Senate seat in Florida. Or maybe Bondi will appoint him to some position in DoJ that oversees public corruption that doesn't require Senate approval. If we're going to be honest, Bondi is more "qualified" for the AG position...

There's more to the Gaetz story IMO. Trump weeded out the RINO's that need to be primaried and Gaetz will get another job. most likely in the administration. Pam Bondi is the new nominee and she's a super pick.

There is definately something more sinister going on here. And I also don't believe that Biden is running the country or making these decisions. Zelinsky would like nothing more than to drag the US (and to a lesser extent, Europe) into this conflict. But Europe will cave as they always do...
