I really think you are undervaluing what a 3rd round pick is in this draft. It's a defensive starter. We needed 2 to 3 of them out of this draft. We failed.

The Lawrence pick is sullied by how much we gave up to get him. Good player though. We basically didn't have a 3rd or 4th round pick this year.

Colt Lyerla is a talented but troubled MFer. If he was there in the 7th round and Garrett wasn't such a sissy, I'd take him. I'd bet junk 100 dollars he'd beat out Escobar by midseason.
