    Mock draft with a twist.

Exactly. What he's accomplished to this point is impressive, but it was only a matter of time that the physicality of the position caught up with him. I'd alternate series' with him and a rookie NT and give him all of the 3rd down plays to maximize his effectiveness.

    Is Michael Huff Dallas-bound?

Exactly. For the caliber of player that he is, that contract was very reasonable.
  3. Texas Ace

    Mock draft with a twist.

Yes that's true, but he is undersized and him constantly facing double teams definitely played their part and will continue to do so if he doesn't get any relief. He didn't even make plays at the start of the year, so that's when he should've been fresh, wouldn't you agree? Again, I believe it...

    Mock draft with a twist.

Whether it's Powe or Paea, I don't care. We just need to get a true NT in here fast. I've been wanting us to acquire one for 2 years now. I love Ratliff, but he's always been undersized and I always felt that it was only a matter of time before he wore down. Now, I'm not by any means suggesting...

lol Yea, unfortunately that is how some fans view things.

OTs Rise: The Case for an Offensive Lineman in the 1st -- and in the 2nd Too

Same here. As I'm sure you remember, I was very critical of Garrett the play caller and OC. I thought he got too cute at times when it wasn't necessary and some other little issues I didn't always agree with. But with that said, I always said that I thought he'd make a fine head coach even when...

OTs Rise: The Case for an Offensive Lineman in the 1st -- and in the 2nd Too

Smart man. Our corners struggled a bit, but there is talent and ability there so I think they can bounce back, especially Jenkins. Safety is the much bigger issue and I guarantee you that the corners would magically look better if we had some decent safety play behind them for once.

    Mock draft with a twist.

That's actually a pretty solid haul right there. Props.

OTs Rise: The Case for an Offensive Lineman in the 1st -- and in the 2nd Too

Watching that crypt keeper squirm as the media hounded him with question after question about how much control he'd give his head coach at Garrett's introductory PC was awesome. Best Cowboys moment since beating the Eagles in the playoffs.

OTs Rise: The Case for an Offensive Lineman in the 1st -- and in the 2nd Too

To steal SBK's term, Jerry Jones is a con man and the worst part is that our stupid fanbase eats it up. He swore that that ONE playoff win would not be enough and that they wouldn't be satisfied or sit on their laurels because of it. He talked all offseason how he wanted the coaches and players...

OTs Rise: The Case for an Offensive Lineman in the 1st -- and in the 2nd Too

Peterson is a stud and I think he will be a great player, but it's not what we need right now. I'm not the biggest Tyron fan, but I wouldn't hate the pick because we would at least be trying to address the line. My perfect scenario would consist of us finding a trading partner and moving back...

OTs Rise: The Case for an Offensive Lineman in the 1st -- and in the 2nd Too

When he's not tripping over his own feet.

OTs Rise: The Case for an Offensive Lineman in the 1st -- and in the 2nd Too

I bet that if you compiled a stat of which teams have allowed their RB's to get hit in the backfield the most over the last 2-3 years, the Cowboys would rank amongst the league's worst.

Former assistant Pasqualoni questions club's decision to stay with status quo

I can already see you're a homer. Fact of the matter is, Pasqualoni is right. Far too often this team sits on its ass because it's content with what it did the year before. There's no urgency to look under every stone, no urgency to promote competition in camp, or any other activity that would...

OTs Rise: The Case for an Offensive Lineman in the 1st -- and in the 2nd Too

And they need to remember this too before they go another year ignoring this pitiful line. I mean, Romo had his collarbone broken and we can't convert 3rd and 1's on the ground with any consistency, but yet those idiots in the DFW media still have CB as our biggest need. CB isn't even a top 3...

    Is Michael Huff Dallas-bound?

Yes, really. It doesn't mean Huff is a guarantee to fail, but if Rob Ryan took him off the field frequently and even criticized his tackling at one point while in Oakland, why would anyone assume that he would be a good fit here? Like I said before, time has passed and things have changed so...

    Is Michael Huff Dallas-bound?

Where did you learn your mathematics? The caveman school? 5 times 6 equals 30, not 26, so he's not making 5 mill a year...especially since he's more than likely not to see the last year of the deal and the way NFL contracts are structured, he's probably only going to get 18-20 mill of that...

    Is Michael Huff Dallas-bound?

    Uhhhhh, I already explained that.

    Is Michael Huff Dallas-bound?

5 years 26 million is a very reasonable contract for a safety that is always around the football....and he's 28 years old, so that would be SOUTH of 30. The way it's structured, I'm guessing he only sees 18-20 million of that anyway.
