So even if he's put back on our practice squad.. we don't have the option of calling him up to the 53 if another team tries to put a claim on him? That doesn't seem right.. althought it very well could be.

That wasn't quite the question though. The question is if a team wants to claim a player off of our practice squad, do we first have a chance to add him to our 53 before the other team can get him? I had thought that was how it works, but im not 100 percent sure.

If Carter shows the form of a first round pick and is completely over his injury, i'd be all for that. We'd be getting alot quicker at the middle LB position, that's for sure. Still keep James around as a solid backup and mentor though. You need to have at least 3 solid rotating MLB's.

So basically, they feel like Harris ain't shit. Still would rather keep the young guy who could develop over the guy who's been here 4 years already and has had numerous chances and we know.. ain't shit.

Im hoping that when Carter comes back, Brooking's playing time is reduced to almost nothing. Lee, James, and Carter would make a nice rotation i think. Lets see how Carter plays for a few games first though.

Im pretty sure that is how it works, is it not? Isn't that why you see guys called up because they knew other teams were interested or trying to get them?

Couldn't ask for more help from the schedule makers than that. We should be in a position to control our own destiny at that point.

I can imagine. This team should and could easily be 5-0 right now. Tough losses stacked up, especially at the start of the season, can do that to a team.
