Question about releasing Nagy .... Is this something the team is doing in order to put him on their practice squad (or some such), or is the team truly cutting ties with him?

It isn't like he's (Witten) out for the season or anything, but it still stinks that the 1st team offense isn't going to have many/any opportunities to practice together as a complete unit before the regular season.

You are right, I do assume that they aren't going to play well in the beginning. And when they don't play well in the beginning, the question will be whether there is hope that they'll get better with time. They really do need to play together for a while before they can be expected to play...

We can only hope. :) All of the injuries to the current guys prevent us from definitively knowing whether Garrett's plan to man the interior OL with scrubs was a good or bad idea. But I think we can all agree that the current OL could use some new reinforcements.
