Lousy analogy. They tried Smith at RT --- he excelled, and then moved him to LT --- he excelled.
Scherff --- tried him at RT, and failed miserably. So now they moved him to OG, and are hoping he's the next Zach Martin.
Looking more and more like Robert Gallery 2.0. Another U of I product that was overdrafted to play RT, and then later converted to a OG; and didn't fare well at either position.
Far be it for me to defend Griffin, but the Redskins' offensive line was indeed that: OFFENSIVE.
That #5 overall pick Brandon Scherff ("the next Zach Martin but geater") was pushed back repeatedly, and got away with multiple holds.
To me, Lawrence looked a little heavier last season than what Gregory is now; hence why I'm not worried about Gregory getting up to weight. It'll take just a year for Gregory to get up to ideal weight.
Precautionary. Byron Jones had an MRI, and it came back negative. If it was a serious Achilles issues, Beasley likely wouldn't be walking on it and would be in a lot of pain.
They said it was a sore Achilles, not injured. And Beasley tweeted that it was nothing to worry about.
Part of me is applauding that they are being precautious with the players, but I kind of think they are overdoing it.
I think they are grooming him to be T. Williams eventual replacement.
I like Beasly, but I sure would love to see some plays where Dez, Williams, and Street are on the field at the same time. I'm hoping Linehan brings this about, because I certainly don't have any faith in Garrett to do it.
