There is a big decision coming up on Murray. Do you pay him megabucks or let him walk? I'd save the salary cap for others and let Murray walk .... which likely means drafting an RB in an early round.

Sometimes people are fortunate enough to be in the position of choosing between two excellent alternatives. Even Jerry couldn't have screwed that one up.

Some of this also falls on Romo (and his audibles). He's gotta be willing to stick with running plays even if there is an extra man in the box. And he's going to have to fight the temptation to carry more of the load personally, through the passing game (particularly as he feels healthier)...

I think it means more than that. It seems to mean highly motivated, hard working, team oriented players who have a passion for the game. I think he's talking about a certain kind of attitude ... something besides physical talent or ability.

I don't see any inherent contradictions in what he's saying. But different people see things different ways, so it isn't a big deal to me. For the record, though, I will say that I'm not a fan of Garrett. I think he was absolutely terrible when he had the dual head coach + offensive...
