31 days until draft Site Mock

Arizona selects Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri Since we're all Cowboys fans, the first prospect to get 3 votes will be the Cowboys selection when they're on the clock.

31 days until draft Site Mock

I guess I should have used the search function. Feel free to delete. After a three rounder, I'm sure there won't be much enthusiasm for another so soon.

31 days until draft Site Mock

I think Carolina looks to repair their defense with arguably the best DT in the draft. Panthers select Marcell Dareus. Denver is on the clock.

31 days until draft Site Mock

I'm not sure if this has been done recently, but I really like these. I figured since the draft is exactly one month away (31 days), we could do another. I'm not on much, so if this was just completed, mods can delete. 1. Carolina Panthers - Marcell Dareus DT Alabama 2. Denver Broncos - Nick...

Romo will try to apply what he learned from Kitna to his game in 2011

I can't fault Romo for taking the situation he was in, and trying to gain something from it. There are obviously things Romo can learn from Kitna, despite being a much better quarterback than Kitna has ever been. In fact, I think it would be a significantly greater red flag if Romo came away...

Sturm's Cowboys analysis: Line still needs veteran guard Leonard Davis

Most observers agree that his performance was much better in the 2nd half of the season under Jason Garrett and some optimism returned about his future. I'm sure practicing in pads had a lot to do with this. Davis is a big guy. Physicality is his game. You can't shadow box all week, and...

Cowboys got a “ton of information” from Rob Ryan before lockout started

This is encouraging. I've yet to read something about Rob Ryan that has caused me an ounce of concern or worry. It remains early, however.

The safest draft pick for the Cowboys

Different subject, but I think Quinn would be the riskiest pick. Or perhaps greatest boom vs bust potential. That tumor is a concern.

The safest draft pick for the Cowboys

Carimi is, for my money, the safest pick. I feel confident he could start for 10 years at RT. I would hate to draft him at #9 on draft day, but in 5 years I would not worry about it one bit. In other words, on draft day I'd be complaining that we did not work out some sort of trade. But that...

    Mel Kiper Jr. Invitational Chatter....

I missed the second day, but I ended up with great picks in the 3rd and fourth rounds. Overall I like my draft. No write-up, other than I wanted to get defense in the first and a QB in the 2nd. That's where the value was IMHO. I just turned in my grades, hopefully in time.

Brandon Harris is not good enough, nor does he play a position of need great enough, to justify that trade. Mind blowing. Also, I love what the Cardinals have done in this draft so far.

If you need to bring a knife to fight someone as little as Brandon Banks, you have no business getting in fights.

FWST - Cowboys' new strength coach lost out to Deion in first go-round

I don't like Switzer, but I side with him on kicking that field goal. If you have a chance to set an NFL record, then do it. That's a once in a lifetime opportunity Sportsmanship is for elementary school.

Eagles hire OL coach- AS DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

Didn't the Ravens do something like this with Mike Nolan a few years back? Known as a defensive coach, I believe they hired him to coach their receivers. They felt he was too good a coach to not have on their staff if he was available.

Jerry Jones insists on expanded season

You would only really be losing one "meaningful" pre-season game, as the fourth one currently is more or less is a useless obligation. Teams have already made the lions share of their roster decisions at that point anyway. Lets also not forget that most teams scrimmage with another team for a...
