    2012 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

Last I heard, he was the DC of the Univ. of Kansas.

    2012 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

Most former coaches would have too much pride to come back to a team as a menial assistant, when they were the HC. It was one of these sympahty hires that Jerry did.

Stanford vs UCLA// UGA vs ALA

Hmmm... and Ivy League grad, and is now the HC of an Ivy League team... and he knows how to coach.

Did your son go to DeLasalle or Mira Costa?

    How does Houston do it?

The HC picks his staff. And all those on said staff are accountable to him. Neither the OC nor DC has autonomy, to where they do not asnwer to the HC, and can essentially do what they want. So then rather take a KNEE with 4 seconds remaining in the half and just down by 3 POINTS!, you instead...

    Jerry's praising the offensive line...

This is true. But at the same time, I can understand Jerry's hesitation at spending big money on free agent OL. I mean take a look at Davis, Gurode, and now Free. But since he played OL on the Razorbacks national championship team back in the 60's... I guess he feels that qualifies him to know OL.

    PFT: Sean Payton’s leverage grows

How do you figure? Payton can take as much time as he wants. There are going to be plenty of coaching vacancies come the completion of this season.

    PFT: Sean Payton’s leverage grows

Nothing's fucking changed. The goal all along was and remains to get rid of Garrett. And hopefully, sustained losses from here on, will accomplish that. That's what.

    PFT: Sean Payton’s leverage grows

Being that the Redskins don't have any 1st round draft picks for the next two years, that alone would give Pasyton pause from going there.

    2012 Free agency chatter thread

Ratliff is the only one I'd keep. When he's not injured, he brings it, which is more that could be said about the other three.

ANOTHER reason I hate Jason Garrett

Ogletree has always been the biggest tease on this team. He'd once in awhil;e WOW you, and then he would coast to just enough to keep himself on the team; and now in this case it's just enough to remain the 3rd WR.

    Rolando McClain..WTF?

I'm not going to judge a player because they washed out in Oakland. It's not like Oakland has a reputation of being a world class organization, but then again, neither are the Cowboys. Just saying though.

    Rolando McClain..WTF?

Lee, Carter, and McClain would be a nasty group for a 4-3.

Garrett getting outcoached is a problem

Well you know the asshole has instituted YOGA into his practices. WTF! This Zen shit. Garrett reminds of that golfer in Happy Gilmore. "His bags are packed. He's got his airport ticket. Send him home". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7F22Bks4Ns

Cowboys need to finish season 4-1 or better to make playoffs

I'd rather go 0-5 for safe measure. Makes no sense to go either 3-2, 2-3, and 1-4.

Cowlishaw: Jerry Jones should not get all the blame for Cowboys’ mediocrity

You know what my fear is? We go on a run and finish 8-8, and Garrett keeps his job. And as aresult we end up with a lousy draft position. People can say what they want, but JKerry gave Garrett the keys to the kingdom. I'd rather have 4 years with Holmgren and look for a new coach later opn...
