    Our QB situation

There would be no reason to hide an injury to Dak, especially since the season is over. Jerry would have put that out there the day after the Eagles game. I really think Dak's confidence is shot. And I also feel he bought into the hype of him being some super accurate passer who doesn't turn...

    Our QB situation

It must have pained you to use "decent" in your description of our franchise QB. Is decent the best you got? Was he "decent" at Denver? Was he 'decent" against Washington? I don't even think he was "decent" at NY to open the season. I mean, he had 5 games all season where his QB rating was...

    Our QB situation

You thought he had a decent 2017 season so this isn't saying much.

    Our QB situation

Forget the numbers and believe what your eyes tell you dbair. Holy smokes the "numbers" show that Dak is the best QB throwing in tight windows. Do you honestly believe that? And that Dez is the 3rd best WR catching the ball in "tight windows." I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall...

    Our QB situation

Exactly. His issues are plain as day. Can he improve? Do we hope he will improve? Absolutely. But to make every excuse in the book and now throw in a possible injury into that mix is just silly. We shouldn't have to stretch this much to make excuses for our starting QB.

    Our QB situation

So you're saying he played well against NY, Denver, Washington and LA, off the top of my head? Please man. We're just watching a different game.

    Our QB situation

I don't think he played particularly well against the Giants or Denver to open the season. He had 8 games this year with under 200 yards passing. He was atrocious this year. He played poorly when Zeke was out. And now you're throwing a possible injury into the mix as an excuse? Do you...

    Our QB situation

You're using the same argument that homers use with Garrett that are slanted by 13 and 3 and 12 and 4 seasons. You've been around long enough to know some QB issues when you see them, primarily lack of accuracy, lack of ability or willingness to go down field and poor pocket awareness. They...

    Our QB situation

He's got a lot of work to do and I'm not saying he can't do it. But folks are trying to mold their opinions of him into some kind of franchise QB who's accurate. It's all the receivers fault, or the coaching (which I'd agree with to some extent), or the NFL, or the OL, or missing Zeke, etc...

    Our QB situation

And yet everything I said was true so what's your point. Jason Garrett coached his teams to 12 and 4 and 13 and 3 seasons but that doesn't make him a good coach. Dak has work to do. If you think he's an accurate assassin with the football, have at it. If you think a list missing Tom Brady...

The 2018 Debacle as I see it

My expectations were that BP would make us competitive and that we'd find a franchise QB. I thought after we found Romo that we'd be in the hunt for a few years and compared his situation to Kurt Warner. Once I saw the reigns given to Wade Phillips and then Garrett, I knew it was over.

    Our QB situation

David Carr calls a "skip" and hits the target "down field." Our guy can't hit a stationary target from 5 yards out. The more I watch this, the more I cringe. I feel bad for Dak in this video. David Carr challenges Dak Prescott to a passing competiton - NFL Videos

    Our QB situation

Yeah, that guy. Another tight window surgeon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaPuSLRQR8Q

    Our QB situation

We didn't have a receiver sniff 1000 yards. Not one. Think about that in today's NFL. And the "tight window" meme is BS. Dak throws late artificially causing his own "tight window." He's inaccurate, has little pocket presence and poor vision. That doesn't mean he can't or won't improve...

    Our QB situation

And just to add, the surgeon knows what he needs to improve on in the off-season. But according to you guys, he's a tight window passer. I guess he didn't get the memo. 959547486384799744

    Our QB situation

What are "tight window throws?" We were dead last in the NFL going down field and now Dak is some surgeon under center. Yeah, OK. He's not accurate, at least not yet. And one can argue that Dak has a hard time throwing his receivers open and makes late decisions on where to go with the ball...

Stephen Jones, "Jerry and I Need to Roll Up Our Sleeves"

What's Jerry got to do with any of this? Doesn't he mean McClay?
  19. Dodger12

    Our QB situation

My word guys.....really? Which pass from his 50 yards or so a half were in the tight windows you folks speak of? I mean, he went into the last possession of a half with 30 passing yards in one of our games and he often needed that last possession to get him near 100 yards. Let's not talk stupid.

The One and Only Super Bowl LII thread

I can relate Laz. I've condemned my son to the same fate. But the kid is smarter than me. He walked away from a game we were watching to do something else rather than watch Jerry's abortion. I never could have done that even in 89 or through the Campo years. I took the pain. I'm...
