Stephen Jones: Cowboys Want Garrett to Return

Yeah, he's the one guy who probably will stay. I am worried about Callahan and Marinelli taking off, though. Those would be huge losses.

Jerry wants playoff expansion because it would give Cowboys better shot

Like Jerry gives two shits about the fans. He'd make a ton of money off an extra game at his palace, though.

If only we traded up to the 6th spot...

He never had a QB, either, other than McNair for a few years. And those years they were very good.

    NFL Week #15: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (9-4) @ Philadelphia Eagles (9-4)

Yep. Just having Tre Mason and Robinson in has made a big difference. They weren't even active when we played them. Plus they were trying the UFA QB back then.

Stephen Jones: Cowboys Want Garrett to Return

When they say, "training him", they just mean training him to not balk at his bosses dictating playcalling, changing his coordinators, deciding who they draft, etc. Basically playing the front man and knowing his role.

Lambs about to do the Cowboys a solid. :towel

George: Why Cowboys' plan to contain Eagles' LeSean McCoy may be effective in rematch

The Seahawks have been playing great defense the last five games or so. I'm not sure anything that happened in that game is really going to help us much. In fact I've always had this theory that it's a disadvantage to play a team after they've played a team better than you, because you just...

Stephen Jones: Cowboys Want Garrett to Return

I mean, we all know he's coming back regardless. The "Jason has some say in it" probably just means that Garrett has to sign the contract to be here, too.

Stephen Jones: Cowboys Want Garrett to Return

Dooms, where's the ban button on this thing? Really though, Jerry will be more than justified in it then. Doesn't mean he's the best coach we could get, though. What does he add? What does he even do anymore other than take Jerry's orders in stride?

Stephen Jones: Cowboys Want Garrett to Return

This game probably really is it... But I expect us to win. I'm as confident as I've been since that Giants game. Could be wrong though because the Eagles are a good team, and it's been shown that our great road record this year is because other than Seattle, we've played a bunch of crap teams...

Stephen Jones: Cowboys Want Garrett to Return

Yep. This is setting up for a perfect storm of long-term mediocrity. One great season where everything breaks right gets you into the playoffs. Everyone including the coach gets extensions. A couple of good players like Murray and coaches like Callahan leave. Few core players like Romo and...

    I'm bored mock 12/10/14

That would be crazy considering the Rangers already drafted him.

    I'm bored mock 12/10/14

Yeah, unless he's priced himself out of our budget.

If only we traded up to the 6th spot...

    Well he's no Jason Garrett.

    I'm bored mock 12/10/14

I'm thinking Jerry Hughes in FA. He's a TCU boy and Jerry seems to love the local guys. Draft wise, NFLdraftscout has Trey Flowers as the #4 DE. Think he'll make it to our pick? He's not the kind of super-athlete that would go in the top 10... I don't think.

If only we traded up to the 6th spot...

Easy to say now, but Fletcher Cox is the one I was hoping we'd trade up for. It only would have taken a small trade up, not the big one we made. But yeah, sitting tight and taking Brockers and Wagner might have been even better.

    CB Michal Pellarin was released

Todd Archer, who is close to the team, actually suggested today that Melton has disappeared so much lately -- and probably combined with missing the team bus -- that he could even be deactivated this week. Sounds crazy, but that's what he said. Wonder if this has anything to do with that.
