If we end up with a top 10 selection, should we take a QB?

Drafting a quarterback who was benched in his senior year was a flawed theory from the get go. Yes, he was injured, but when he came back and was healthy he sucked and lost his job to sophomore Jerrod Johnson. The biggest problem is Jerry wanting to outsmart everyone IMO and he gets cute on...

If we end up with a top 10 selection, should we take a QB?

3rd or 4th round? Sure. Take a prospect like Matt Schaub, Ryan Mallet, Kirk Cousins, etc and let him develop now behind Romo, be ready to go in 3 years. Especially since we lose our f'ing mind in the 4th round and waste picks anyway.

If we end up with a top 10 selection, should we take a QB?

Next year's team can contend. It's a luxury to have our QB of the future on our roster but that 1st round pick could solve one of our many weak spots (Guard, Center, Pass rusher, Safety) that can help us contend in 2013.

If we end up with a top 10 selection, should we take a QB?

I don't see a QB from this draft, including Barkley, that I can look and say that he is 100% for sure better than Romo. So no.

Charlie Peprah is ready if needed, but Matt Johnson still is out

I thought I responded. Wasn't it a different user name? I thought it was random.

Charlie Peprah is ready if needed, but Matt Johnson still is out

Peprah's willingness to tackle gives him an advantage over McCray. McCray was business-decisioning all night and that was just the few times he was anywhere near the ball carrier.

    Sean Payton anyone ?

I have little doubt that Jon Gruden would work wonders with this offense. He might even smart to recognize the interior OL is garbage and suggest a fix there as well. Whereas Jason Garrett either agreed with the FO signing off on Livings/Bernadau or orchestrated it himself. Either way, huge fail.

    The worst part is....

Good stuff but you forgot Jerry's draft formula. 1st round - Wow player. 2nd round (if you didn't give it way to get wow player) - Injured guy. 3rd round - smartest, safest draft pick of the weekend. 4th round - get cute and do something stupid. 5th round - 6th round guy. 6th round - Undrafted...

    The worst part is....

I'll put up a midseason mock tomorrow, or sometime this week. I know you can't wait. I'm losing interest daily though. My boss just left, the new guy sucks, and I'm going back to school. I want to dive into these college games but knowing that the Cowboys (and USC) will find ways to lose makes...

    Offensive Ineptitude

Still, that place was THE WORST when Hostile was basically running it and his henchman, casmith, was running buckshot. Him getting his nuts clipped, even if it may be temporary, was hilarious. theebs and dbair will be missed here, which is too bad, but I still pick this place everytime...

Report: Jerry Jones locked out of locker room after game

The idea of Jerry turning the knobs and not getting in is kinda funny to me. The idea that players/coaches intentionallly locked him out gives me hope.

    2012 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

Scandrick and McCray were awful last night. Yet, Scandrick is getting millions of dollars and McCray stays in the starting line-up. The problem isn't just the players, it's the organization that promotes and rewards them.

    Offensive Ineptitude

Jerry Jones is THE problem but I agree Jason Garrett is a problem and needs to go. His PC act is exactly an act. The results on the field do not resemble that slow improvement, everyone's accountable, crap he spews each week. The team loses despite it's talent and that is a clear sign that...

Telling stat - not that we didnt already know

I get that but you watch Bernadeau and then you think why did we put him in this position? He never showed much of anything at Carolina. Do the Cowboys have some sort of secret formula.. certain size player + age + whatever = future star ? What are they basing the decision to pay him on? He...

Telling stat - not that we didnt already know

Two questions I would love answered by Jones.. 1) What has Jason Garrett ever actually done that keeps with your "he's going to be great coach" routine? Seriously, what has he done. Held a nice press conference? I can't think of a single thing. 2) What did the scouts, you, Ciskowski, Callahan...

    The worst part is....

Nope. I think we will show "something" in every game. That is the worst possible scenario because it continues the lie that we are so close to being a contender. I'm not lucky enough for your scenario to happen. I must suffer in the worst way imaginable.

Report: Jerry Jones locked out of locker room after game

The team continues to be mediocre at best and he keeps saying incredibly dumb things. I just think the family, especially Stephen who has stood up to Jerry before, is thinking about the long term health of the franchise and is getting tired of looking like a family of jackasses. And remember...

    The worst part is....

(these aren't in order) We'll split with the Eagles. 1-1 We'll beat the Browns. 2-1 We'll lose to the Steelers 2-2 We'll lose to the Saints 2-3 We may beat the Bengals 3-3 ( I could easily see us losing this game in Cincy) and I have a bad feeling we will split with the Redskins 4-4. I think 4...

Report: Jerry Jones locked out of locker room after game

I really think his kids are going to step in soon and force some changes. No inside knowledge or anything, just a feeling. He's always been an embarassment in my mind but I think his family is growing tired of his act.
