    2016 NFL Playoffs chatter....

I think the Skins lose tomorrow, maybe badly. In this vaunted wining streak, they've beaten Us (trainwreck all year) Philly (trainwreck end of year) Buffalo (bad team) Chicago (bad team) And they lost to us (:lol) I'll still take Rodgers over Cousins anytime.

Sabin: Romo's heir? Why Cowboys and others are intrigued by Carson Wentz

Has anyone been watching? I totally forgot they were playing today. You know his ginger status gives him a leg up on the rest of the QBs on our board. First thing I notice -- dude has the whitest, palest legs I've ever seen. No wonder he went to ND State. The Texas sun could be a real problem.

Campbell was Parcells only, I'm pretty sure. Sad thing is, he'd be better as a HC than Garrett. At least he's a "real" guy who isn't just a plastic yes-man.

I can't imagine their hiring him. Maybe it's some kind of courtesy/goodwill gesture. Guess the Fins hired Adam Gase today. So if he's good, better there than Philly.

    Gun thread

Never owned a gun and probably won't, but I've been thinking about learning to shoot a bow, too. Our mailman at work used hunt with a longbow, which is just badass.

Houston's maybe the most boring, nondescript team in the entire league, but I'll watch the game just to see KC. I haven't seen a minute of them since they went on this huge run. And I doubt Cincy has a chance without their QB, but god it would be great if they beat the Steelers today. Their...

Bayless: 'Ultimate plastic man' Garrett a nice guy, but he's not a coach in the NFL

That wasn't a Mid edit. He really said all that. :lol

Sherrington: 10 tips for Jerry Jones heading into this offseason

Yep, it's a little disturbing that this staff basically lets the players play as much as they want, when they want. They did the same thing with Murray last year when they should have been giving him a break now and then. At some point they're going to have to nut up and tell Witten he is...

    Eagles fire Chip Kelly

Jon Gruden says he's interested in the Eagles job. :brick Edit, well I guess in the last couple of hours he's denied it. But I wouldn't be surprised if he's just covering himself now. He was QB coach there once under Reid and said good things about working there.

Aikman hits nail on head regarding Romo & Cowboys QB situation

Yeah, that was the first anyone had heard that about Tony getting his back hurt during the Giants, wasn't it? I know we were wondering why he had to take Wednesday off when he came back from the long layoff. I just think of Tiger Woods. He had a similar procedure years ago and he seemed to be...

CBS- Cowboy players began souring on Hardy late season

Yes it was. I remember some of his Carolina teammates saying you didn't know how he'd be from day to day. But funny, in preseason he was claimed by some to be this great leader that everyone loved.

    It's racism...

No doubt. And isn't it a little too soon to be sort of consulting Winston for HC advice? I know he's a talent, but he's also proven to be a huge knucklehead (at best) with very poor judgment.

Jerome Henderson to interview for Browns HC job

:lol I remember the night we drafted Wilcox... Henderson was asked about the player and said he was a project athlete who would need a lot of work before he might be ready to play. I doubt he's the one who was in favor of playing him so much so early. But really, Henderson was very highly...

Yep, exactly. He said "all three phases" tie together and one affects the other. And as you say, he basically was blaming the offense -- or more accurately, injuries on offense -- for the defense not being better. Which is ridiculous. I immediately was thinking of all the posts we've seen...

I would be better with that, Dooms, but the problem is I'm afraid they don't think it's a crock of shit. I think they really believe it.

I almost posted this same thing to cmd's comment about this team not having the ability to properly assess its talent. I still know Garrett is here mainly because Jerry knows he'll take orders, won't rock the boat, and will be "comfortable with ambiguity." But listening to Steve last night...
