Lousy analogy. They tried Smith at RT --- he excelled, and then moved him to LT --- he excelled. Scherff --- tried him at RT, and failed miserably. So now they moved him to OG, and are hoping he's the next Zach Martin.

If Williams continues on this trajectory, will the Redskins forever hear about it on passing him up; like the Cowboys passed up on Moss?

Looking more and more like Robert Gallery 2.0. Another U of I product that was overdrafted to play RT, and then later converted to a OG; and didn't fare well at either position.

I don't think the Redskins' Oline is a proper test in assessing whether they miss Suh.

The plan was always to move him to OG. Martin played OT in college as well, but he was made an OG immediately for the Cowboys.

It's early, but do you see any surprise cuts?

What also was not a coincidence, is that once the playcalling was removed from him, they finished with their best record.

Far be it for me to defend Griffin, but the Redskins' offensive line was indeed that: OFFENSIVE. That #5 overall pick Brandon Scherff ("the next Zach Martin but geater") was pushed back repeatedly, and got away with multiple holds.

He got up and walked on his own power. Pretty strong indication it wasn't serious.

To me, Lawrence looked a little heavier last season than what Gregory is now; hence why I'm not worried about Gregory getting up to weight. It'll take just a year for Gregory to get up to ideal weight.

No big deal. MRIs and xrays is standard. They probably give a player and MRI for a busted lip.

Were these the same scouts that also liked AOA over Kam Chancellor?

Hate these injuries, but on one hand have to be grateful that so far they are not serious.

Precautionary. Byron Jones had an MRI, and it came back negative. If it was a serious Achilles issues, Beasley likely wouldn't be walking on it and would be in a lot of pain.

They think it's a stinger. They said that Martin walked off with the trainer. I guess the cart was brought out for precaution.

They said it was a sore Achilles, not injured. And Beasley tweeted that it was nothing to worry about. Part of me is applauding that they are being precautious with the players, but I kind of think they are overdoing it.

With Rams coming, Cowboys get into it with each other

Cowboys seem to have built their Oline much like the Rams built their Dline.

I think they are grooming him to be T. Williams eventual replacement. I like Beasly, but I sure would love to see some plays where Dez, Williams, and Street are on the field at the same time. I'm hoping Linehan brings this about, because I certainly don't have any faith in Garrett to do it.
