    Flags is the weaker of the two. It is choppy, spends so much time flash forwarding and flash backing it gets annoying at times. Still, some solid performances (Adam Beach & Ryan Phillipe in particular), and worth a watch, if anything just as a companion piece to Letters.

    I agree. I think the big hurdle was that they spent time jumping between units, while BoB stayed with the same guys for 10 episodes. Character development, character development, character development. I will give Pacific the edge in showing the utter brutality of war.
