Dez, T Crawford both out Thursday

Yeah, I mean Crawford might be an okay to pretty good player, but he's a perfect example of the overhype around this team. You'd think he was the next Fletcher Cox or something from the way people talked about him after one good year. I think part of it is the Joneses (including Garrett) are...

    2016 NFL Training Camp Injuries

Have I ever told you how much I hate kickers?

Morris impressing Cowboys, but how will he handle playing second fiddle to Elliott?

Anyone know why the Skins didn't play him more last year? No one seems to know, other than that he's not a great receiver.

Daryl Johnston: Why the defense will be better than people are giving it credit for

Claiborne was so capable, he wouldn't have started had Scandrick been healthy.

    Clowney for Wilcox? :rofl

    The never-ending POTUS Election Tracker....

I still think Comey knew. He basically stood up there and told everyone at that PC. He just didn't want to basically decide the election. Who knows, he may even have been afraid of getting whacked.

    The never-ending POTUS Election Tracker....

You highly doubt it? You know the truth -- there's no way they would.

Daryl Johnston: Why the defense will be better than people are giving it credit for

Not believing in Claiborne until it happens in real games with him not getting PI calls. Last year they talked about what a great camp he was having, but in truth he was grabby and couldn't get away with that in games. And then of course he has to stay healthy.

Dez, T Crawford both out Thursday

:facepalm I assumed he'd hit his head on the ground making a circus catch or something.

Did the Cowboys just find their future QB?

I just always assumed the QB sneak wasn't in the Coryell-Norv-Garrett playbook. Remember when Switzer had to put it in when he got here because it wasn't in the offense?

DMN: The Star, no matter how lavish, is no substitute for sweat equity

No, I'm not saying it would singlehandedly ruin the team or anything. It's not that big a factor. But it won't help, either, just like Jerry's palace of a stadium hasn't helped. And it may even contribute to the culture of the team, which makes stars of players before they've even...

DMN: The Star, no matter how lavish, is no substitute for sweat equity

I dunno, I remember seeing some pics of Alabama's new weight room, and of course it was nice, but it wasn't over the top fancy. It just had tons of great equipment. I loved this one photo of a line of about 20 glute-ham raise machines in a row. To me that is substance over style.

DMN: Cowboys not saying it, but rookie Dak Prescott looks like the (backup) man

What a stroke of luck that Kellen Moore got hurt. They might just now be figuring out that Dak can play.

DMN: The Star, no matter how lavish, is no substitute for sweat equity

Am I the only one who thinks the fancier and pimper the training facilities are, the worse it is for preparation? Maybe I'm putting my own bias on it from my meager football experience, but football isn't a nice clean shiny game to play, so I don't know what good the prettiest locker and weight...

    2016 Pre-season Game 2: Miami Dolphins @ Dallas Cowboys

I bet it's more the coach sending a message about his work ethic or knowledge of the playbook. Crazy concept, I know.

Mosley, who isn't a shill like an Archer. So maybe it's legit.

Pats have injuries at RB and G/T

Eh, I seriously doubt Belichick is buying the Dunbar hype that Jerry and Co have been selling the last couple of years. Besides, he doesn't need a Lewis clone. He'll get the best back he can and tailor his plays to whatever skills that guy has.

Day after throughts- preseason week two

Damn Belichick is awesome. Even as big a curmudgeon as he is and as grudgingly as he gives genuine praise, you could hear the admiration in his voice. Of course any coach with half a brain is going to feel that way about one of the best football coaches who ever lived.

    Ramsey debut for Jacksonville

Even if we thought we had to have a young RB, Derrick Henry looked darn good vs Carolina, from what I saw.
