    2016 NFL Week #8: Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (5-1)

Scandrick (with Brown in slot) and Wilcox? I actually think we're fine at corner without Mo. Brown has been very good.

Russia Has a Dead Submarine (Armed With Nukes) Sitting at the Bottom of the Ocean

What was it, I wanted to see it... Personal navy experience, I'm guessing? I'm an amateur Cold War historian type. I think that stuff is fascinating.

Russia Has a Dead Submarine (Armed With Nukes) Sitting at the Bottom of the Ocean

Saw a documentary one time about the Soviets decommissioning one of these old huge subs -- probably the same model. It was massive, way bigger than any other sub they'd built, and built near the very end of the cold war. It was totally covered in this rubber type material to avoid sonar. Of...

I detest Garrett, but credit given where it's due...

Maybe Omega is right, it's not like we haven't seen this before:

I detest Garrett, but credit given where it's due...

Oh, no doubt. He's extremely sensitive to people's perception of him. That's why he goes out of his way to craft his media persona. That's why he always has a huge grin and a back slap for opposing coaches even after crushing losses. He desperately wants people to like him. When you say...

Engel: Right now, your Cowboys are the best team in the NFC

I don't think there's any doubt. The only real competition would be Minnesota, and they have no OL and no running game. I do suspect Seattle and Green Bay will be rounding into form by the end of the year, and I wouldn't count out Philly.

    The never-ending POTUS Election Tracker....

It does, which surprises me. All the other times with Wikileaks and even before Comey had his "no charges" PC, the media did everything it could to downplay these Hillary scandals. For whatever reason, this time they're really covering it and acknowledging it as a serious issue.

I detest Garrett, but credit given where it's due...

Agree. I think Jerry totally took the keys away and Jason is just a spectator now. I thought that vid Omega linked to a few weeks ago had Linehan basically saying he was totally running the offense. Not in so many words, of course, but that was the suggestion. He even gave a little lip...

I detest Garrett, but credit given where it's due...

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the reason Garrett is taking more risks this year is the DFW media hammering him on how he's been the most conservative, risk-averse coach in the NFL. Bob Sturm has been hammering him for months and months -- years, really -- about it. Kind of like in years...

Didn't notice that, but how incredible would it be if a missed block led to probably the game-saving play of the night?

    2016 NFL Week #8: Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (5-1)

Could make this a new thread but I'll put it here... Did you guys see where the Cubs-Indians game beat our game last night in the ratings? And it wasn't even that close, 15.3 to 11.6. That is absolutely shocking to me considering it was the Cowboys on Sunday night vs the Eagles -- truly one...

Carson Wentz or Dak Prescott.... who would you rather build a team around?

Exactly. I'm sure part of all those short passes was to build up his confidence early, and they've won games so they've stuck with it. But part also has to be that pitiful receiving corps they have. They really have no one they can trust to win very far down the field. And just overall, it's...

    2016 NFL Week #8: Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (5-1)

Said it during the game, but how little does Philly trust Wentz to go deep when Wilcox is back there and you never even test him? Except for that WR pass that he totally lost and was almost a td. Side note, this super-short passing game seems like more of a trend and it's sort of tedious and...

I detest Garrett, but credit given where it's due...

I seriously don't know if he's allowed to, maybe by Jerry. There was yet another example in the first half when there was a time out on offense and Dak, Linehan, and I think Sanchez were in their little circle talking away and Garrett sort of sheepishly inches his way closer and closer to their...

    2016 NFL Week #8: Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (5-1)

We are so ridiculously talented on offense. I can't believe all those 8-8 years we had.

    2016 NFL Week #8: Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (5-1)

Man you know they *really* don't trust Wentz to go deep when you see #27 back there deep and you still won't try it.
