Per Schefter, Cowboys to restructure Doug Free

This has little value coming frome someone who applauds and defends every move we make.

Per Schefter, Cowboys to restructure Doug Free

My apologies if true. I'd love to see Free get a straight pay cut. Just can't remember the last time Jerry did this. It's usually restructure with more up front money or the player is released.

Nope. They wanted him to "verbally commmit" to them like Durant did. Huff wanted to play here but was not going to agree to a handshake deal when there were other teams ready to sign him to a contract now. Huff wanted to be a Cowboy and gave them the first shot. It would like one company...

Per Schefter, Cowboys to restructure Doug Free

Nope. Same money, just more of it up front and guaranteed.

It's okay we signed a 30 plus year old career back up. We're good.

Per Schefter, Cowboys to restructure Doug Free

OL and Safety play.. this Front Office wouldn't recognize competent play at either position if Ronnie Lott and Anthony Munoz busted down their door and tackled them. Doug Free, Mackenzy Bernadeau, and Phil Costa all got extended/restructured this off-season. Damn we suck.

Is Kyle Wilbur a complete loss here?

Good kid, flashes some athleticism, but overdrafted. Right now, him achieving Victor Butler status would be a "win".

Signing Will Allen once we clear space

This organization is clueless when it comes to evaluating Safety play, absolutely clueless.

    Austin cut?

no one just restructured will be cut this year, unless they go out and rape and plunder a small village.

Justin Durant - Has agreed to terms

Man, how much leverage do the agents of Romo and Spencer have against wondertard Jerry? Jerra:" Here's our best deal, take it or leave it." Agent: "You're the one who needs cap space to sign any free agents and your draft picks. We'll need more money." Jerra: "please sign it?"

Justin Durant - Has agreed to terms

Jerry handed him a IOU written on a cocktail napkin. Top class organization.

Like it. Competition with Sims at SAM LB with loser being primary back-up at all 3 LB spots.

Two free agents take physicals with Cowboys

Will Allen has 9 whole starts in the last 6 seasons. good news is that is 5 more than our projected starters (Barry Church and Matt Johnson) have combined. Again, get me guys who can play.

Two free agents take physicals with Cowboys

Huff is the better option by far to me so unless the difference in price is huge, I'd do everything possible to get him and then if he signs elsewhere, maybe sign Allen.

Yeah I hear you. I just haven't seen us give players physicals that we haven't had deals in principle with.

Usually they sign and the deal is pending a physical. I don't remember any free agents getting physicals prior to us signing them. Think back to the Carr courting last year.

Two free agents take physicals with Cowboys

As did I. Bad signing from the get go. Couldn't start for the Jets not sure why Jerry thought he'd have any kind of impact for us. their back up = our starter. Yay us. he doesn't suck but he'll be 31 going into the season and he was a back-up. It's shortcuts at the Safety position like this...
