Rafael: How High a Rise for Dontari Poe?

Why would he not make an immediate impact? He has all the tools and the size to be a immediate contributor, and he immediately upgrades the pass rush on base downs.

NFL owners lean right in political donations Posted by Mike Florio on October 8, 2011, 10:47 PM EST 100204_GOP_logo I quit caring about politics once I quit practicing law. But my apathy occasionally becomes disrupted when two of the primary diversions for folks who crave attention but lack...

    The next Cowboys center?

Nobody has said you couldn't unless I missed something. You seem to be just writing him off arbitrarily.

Sturm: Using Franchise Tag to delay a decision (Spencer)

lol My point exactly, I am not advocating this happens with Spencer I just don't think he is a JAG like people make him out to be. I can see the merit in the line of thinking the article lays out.

Sturm: Using Franchise Tag to delay a decision (Spencer)

A 2nd round pick being a Jag is a disappointment, at least to me. And I guess the Miami coaching staff agreed as well because he was waived in 2009. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2009/11/cleveland_browns_matt_roth_adm.html

Sturm: Using Franchise Tag to delay a decision (Spencer)

You can do that and still Franchise Spencer, that way you are not reaching. I guess Mid was right, you did not actually read the article.

    The next Cowboys center?

You grade each player on their individual merits not because of where they were drafted. You use Mangold as an example and I give you Austin and Romo or Victor Cruz.

So who do propose as this more than above average LB?

Sturm: Using Franchise Tag to delay a decision (Spencer)

What does any of that have to do with giving Spencer the Franchise tag? Like the article said he is not just a warm body, his overall production has been above average, signing him does not stop us from signing other players.

Sturm: Using Franchise Tag to delay a decision (Spencer)

Why/ when has he ever done anything to make you think that? He was huge disappointment in Miami and has some injury history issues. He is also pushing 30, he is the kind of guy you sign for depth at this point.

Ware & Lee stand out among Cowboys LB picks that have mostly missed the mark

Everybody agreed on Carpenter how? He was not a consensus sure thing from what I remember he had a lot of question marks coming out.

And Jenkins sucked in 2010, how about we actually look at his overall body of work and skillset before writing him off out of hand.
