    Wild-ass idea

Mettenberger has a NFL arm but he takes forever in his reads. That only gets worse at the next level.

You are right. A restructure for Romo this off-season is pretty much a lock, which will push more money down the road and it might be 2017 or 2018 before we can afford the cap hit of cutting him.

Steve Alford signed a 10-year deal at New Mexico about a week before he signed with UCLA.

The thing about drafting O Linemen high is that they last a long time, assuming that aren't busts. So if we add Cyril Richradson this year and a young tackle to groom behind Free. Those two guys plus Frederick and Smith will alll be in their primes when we draft Romo's replacement, let's say...

Once you "pick" your team, you should see if the role of official historian is available.

    Hey, dbair

That defense can't stop high powered offenses and it isn't physical enough to stop smashmouth teams. We'd have to win high-scoring pinball games each week with that D.

    Hey, dbair

Our planned starting defense for 2013: Ware = A+ player when healthy Ratliff = undersized, injured, malcontent B- maybe/ F for holding onto him and releasing him midseason Hatcher = A try hard guy, hustles Spencer = contract nightmare B- / F for Franchising him Lee = A+ player when healthy...

    Cowboys working out Michael Huff

He is a true Free safety. He is not scheme scpecific. The Ravens have gone back and forth between the 3-4 and 4-3 the last several years.

    Cowboys working out Michael Huff

I'm sure his agent will be putting out the word that he'll retire if a bad team claims him. He will most likely clear waivers and ink a new deal. His contract for this year isn't bad so a contending team (not us) with cap room (not us) may try to claim him.

    Cowboys working out Michael Huff

He'll go to a contender. Patriots or 49ers are my guess.

    Jerry Jones: No staff changes

Yes, we did. I remain hopeful that we will too but I think it will be this off-season. Here's the problem with the GM being the owner. No real accountability. Some (most?) of his decisions are bad from the get go.. Nate Livings, Mackenzy Bernadeau, Brodney Pool, Will Allen, Gavin Escobar...
