Garrett: We weren’t interested in developing a QB for someone else

If Dallas drafted Manziel it would have to be what Mayock suggested, have packages built in for him. As much as I liked the concept of Manziel in Dallas mainly because I do think Romo is done no later than 2016, plus I would have loved to see the universe implode. But conceptually, it would...

Graziano- Reese Shrewd Drafter? Its a Myth

Read some other stuff that Coughlin kind of took control of this draft and it looks like it. Players like Bromley and Andre Williams look like Coughlin spat them out.

Props to Ed Werder, Mike Mayock

We needed Manziel to give Bayless automatic job security.

    Stephen Jones on NFL Radio

All that means is that he was playing the outside shoulder of the tackle or straight on to the tight end if they were running an off set. Very similar to what Julius Peppers was doing quite a bit in Chicago.

    Post your do-overs

Do over the 4th and well, take pretty much any player chosen in that round after Hitchens, and I could deal with this draft. Probably the fifth too. Maybe the sixth and seventh as well.

    2014 Draft 7th rd # 248 Ahmad Dixon, Baylor S

Either we don't value coverage from a safety or we just don't know what the hell we are looking for. One way or the other, it is why there is speculation every draft that we need a safety.

    Cowboys UDFA thread

I am pretty disappointed who we ended up with this year. Usually it is a much stronger group where you can pick out 3-4 guys who could make it. Overall, Copeland probably has the easiest route, would be tough for him to not be better than Tyler Clutts. Washington has good speed, and is...

Another mediocre draft by the Cowboys

Carter is not being moved. Hitchens was drafted to back up Sean Lee in the middle.

Another mediocre draft by the Cowboys

Agreed. Anyone that recognizes that dbair is just a homer retard right off the bat is pretty impressive.

    *** 2014 NFL Draft thread ***

All we have heard all offseason was that he's a grinder, he leaves no stones unturned. Well, he turned these over.

It's not Jerry. He didn't know who this kid was until today and he probably still doesn't know who he is. This was a scouting pick, a bone thrown to the likes of McClay.

    *** 2014 NFL Draft thread ***

It started great and has gradually gone down hill. Martin will be good, Lawrence could be a player. But since then? Eh. Maybe Street makes the team. That Hitchens guy was an epic reach that basically is around to give the Cameron Lawrences of this roster some competition. That pick alone...

Another mediocre draft by the Cowboys

That was absolutely a bone that was thrown to McClay and the scouts. I hope that it is honestly seen that way and judged accordingly. I have no issue with destroying Jones for bad picks, but I guarantee he had no idea who the fuck that schlub was.

Another mediocre draft by the Cowboys

It should go for dbair too because they are one and the same.

2014 Draft- 4th rd #119- Anthony Hitchens LB Iowa

I can honestly say this dwarfs any reach we have made in Jerry Jones' tenure. I can't find a single source anywhere that has him with a strong draftable grade. At best, his grade is borderline.

And that draws a 15 yard penalty in the NFL.

I pity the fact that you cannot see what is being built here.
