Bob Sturm: Some observations on an otherwise meaningless Cowboys-49ers game

The one and virtually only one trait that Hanna had coming into the league and leaving the Combine was his 4.48/40. I think that puts him right behind Vernon Davis in TE speed. But taking your vehicle that you bought for speed and using it to plow your driveway intermittently just seems like a...

Thursday, August 27, 2015 A.J. Jenkins hoping late push leads to Cowboys' roster spot By Todd Archer OXNARD, Calif. -- Early on in training camp there appeared to be no chance receiver A.J. Jenkins could crack the Dallas Cowboys' 53-man roster. With two preseason games remaining the chances...

Answer the question above you, 2015 NFL season edition

No. 1-3. Winning only one Redskin game. Who will have more yards from scrimmage Lance Dunbar or Devin Street?

Anyone else see a possible 2-3 or even a 1-4 start to the 2015 season?

Good point. Starting the the season is 0-0. :towel

Hitchens slumps because of less reps. Injuries made his development more desperate last year. Good all around player but will not have the impact he had last year. Does Ben Gardner make the team?

Would you trade for Matt Barkley?

Well said. This offseason has been really confusing for fans who are looking for an obvious upgrade. Seems like nothing took place in the "obvious upgrade" department, when the team had open opportunity at NT, RB, backup/developmental QB, and and safety (not Lord Byron) in the draft and free...

From Brian Broaddus: 2. It was unfortunate looking back on the play in which Scandrick was injured and the way it happened. Scandrick was just reacting to what he saw developing on the route and was attempting to help J.J. Wilcox, who lost Lucky Whitehead up the field. Scandrick dropped his...

Anyone else think defense could be the strength of the team?

Defense has a good shot at pass pressure. Have a feeling that third and long will bring out the beasts. But why would teams be intentionally pass when they don't have to? The only coach in the NFL that does that is the Cowboy's HC, so the defense as good as it is will probably take a beating...

Scandrick blows out ACL/MCL, gone for year

Insider Buzz: Dallas Cowboys Shopping for CBs After Orlando Scandrick Injury | Bleacher Report Who would be available? What team would truly have a surplus of CBs or what CB who is capable of starting and/or contributing impact play is just sitting around somewhere not being used? Deion?

Scandrick blows out ACL/MCL, gone for year

Good thing we kept Claiborne and Carr. Haha. Hope Byron, Patmon, and Ross pan out. Corey White is still a CB.

    Nothing more ironic than this.

Born to Run. Bruce Springsteen didn't have an offensive line in any of his songs either.

Then again Sean Payton was in an interview following the Dallas/StLouis skirmish saying that he scrimmages and practices with the Patriots because he knows what to expect from the Patriots and that sort of behavior is not tolerated by either team.

Would you trade for Matt Barkley?

If the offense had a bunch of speedsters and John Riggins, where the feasible gameplan included large doses of power running and deep passes (like a Norv Turner/Al Saunders offense is supposed to), I think Weeden would work. But he gets disorganized and anxious with pressure and Jason's offense...

Flowers is inconsistent with the control of his fastball but he seems to be able to make plays everywhere. He is an upgrade on ST and knows how to get to the ball. Should keep him because he enhances almost all the positions he plays (except Romos).

McClay "ratifies" what most of us know about how flawed Garrett is....

If Linehan is going to make more use of the TEs for red zone and moving the chains because the rbs are not a strength, that would prove the Linehan talent use. Witten should command a double team by himself and Hanna and Escobar are faster and taller (respectively) than most lbs who would have...

Bob Sturm: Some observations on an otherwise meaningless Cowboys-49ers game

Thought the same about Randle. He gains less value the more he shows how little talent he has. Reminds me of what Jonathan Bales stated of wanting a RB fast and elusive, big and physical or both BUT never neither - Randle is neither. Crawford and Corey White showed good fundamentals. Gardner...

NFL Preseason Week 2: Dallas @ San Francisco

Sitting ducks. If you practice deception, you understand deception and you can then have eyes to see when deception is being used against you. Jason has the team believing that upright execution on offense is sufficient. That being self-disciplined and gosh-darned well adjusted in adversity give...
