Doug Free's experience helps in move to guard

No. You're correct. He didn't stand his ground. First one more than the second one. But in neither case was he pushed into tonys lap. In both cases, and not just on those specific plays, but on your average play, that's good enough protection (enough time) for the QB to get rid of the ball

Doug Free's experience helps in move to guard

You're nitpicking pretty hard BB. His defender never had a chance to cause any harm on play 1 or 2..I didn't watch his reps in the 2H..that whiff is legit poor play. First two, not so much.

Free was pretty damn good in pass protection. But he definitely wasn't amazing, lol. A lot left to be desired in the run game

Doug Free's experience helps in move to guard

i just watched all of parnells reps at RT hes not nearly as bad as I anticipated..but hes definitely much leakier than free is in pass protection...he will give up his share of sacks..thats for sure on the other hand..he gets MUCH MUCH better push than free does in the run game...overall I...

Doug Free's experience helps in move to guard

just watched all of Frees reps at guard up until halftime definitely serviceable at guard..much MUCH better in pass protection than he is in the run game...very stable in pass protection..very unable to create running lanes in the run game...does a decent job of getting to the 2nd level and...
