    None of that is what I asked you. More teams make it more exciting. Purist ideas about what sort of quality the league should be are nonsense. We want excitement, they want ratings. Expanding the pool gives you both. Any downside is inconsequential.

In every league, the playoffs are better when you get more teams involved. The end of the season becomes more exciting, the playoffs are more exciting...
