2024 Week Six: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

Did anyone say that Tyron Smith is the best in the NFL? I don't think so, but he is up there and better than either OT we have. If Tyron is top 5, I'll take that. Heck, top 10. Name me 10 better than Tyron Smith based on actual stats, not on what you think you see in your head.

You have insulted me twice now, The fact is that Anthony Brown was, at one time, a good player. Did you play the game at any level? Instead of admitting that you are wrong in the face of evidence, you double down. I'll leave it to others to assess your intelligence and knowledge of the game.

Since I am in the mood to do research, I decided to research Tyron Smith. The fact is Tyron Smith is ranked among the top offensive tackles for the 2024 NFL season. His pass-blocking grade of 89.3 in 2023 was the highest among all offensive tackles. His overall PFF grade for 2023 was 83.7. In...

I was always worried about replacing 2 out of 5 OL with rookies, especially at left tackle and also having a questionable RT. How does PFF rank Tyron Smith?

I did some research to see if you are right. KaVontae Turpin is reported to be 5'9 and 153 lbs. Keep in mind that some teams exaggerate the player's height and weight. By the way, I've also seen Turpin listed at 5'7. 1. Deonte Harty (Deonte Harris) – 5'6", 170 lbs 2. Marquise "Hollywood"...

It seems every single year there are those fans that focus on speed only. Turpin is a gadget player who is likely not going to last very long in the NFL if he is used as a top 3 WR. He looks like he would crack in half with a solid hit from a safety.

It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that Zeke is washed. We can't run. A team that can't run has to be impeccable in the passing game. Otherwise the defense, no matter how good, will be exposed. It's hard for me to know how Beebe is playing from what I see on TV. Martin supposedly played...

I'd probably be the worst GM in the NFL but at least I'd be different, LOL. My general approach to all sports agents would be this. You've had 4 years, 5 years, even 6 years because we franchise tagged your player. How many SBs did you get me (I'll settle for losses)? Oh, none? Okay, that drops...

IMHO, Turpin is a bad example, He sucks. He is a ST player. He isn't used much on offense because he sucks. He is tiny and getting off the line isn't easy for him.

You have a point. When Mahomes gets paid and he has rings and SB appearances, it's different than when a guy who hasn't won a playoff game gets paid like that. I'm sure there is some resentment. But players need to play their best (even if their best isn't good enough) or they'll find themselves...

I think he was benched because there was no hope of winning. I would have benched him sooner for poor play. But, I also think Rush sucks, so it would have solved nothing.

Subsidizing is an idea, but I don't see it happening. Dak's cap hit next year alone is 90 million. He takes up 33% of the cap. It's more likely that Dak agrees to a restructure so Dallas can get more talent, they'll add years to the contract or something.

2024 Week Six: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

I agree that Dallas is screwed. It will take something lucky to replace Dak. Maybe taking a QB in round 6 or 7, or an UDFA that turns out to be great. Then Dak becomes a very expensive backup who is disgruntled and willing to renegotiate his contract to make himself tradeable. But I'm not...

2024 Week Six: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

Jerry is NOT getting rid of Dak for at least 2 more years. The contract will not allow it and other GMs are not stupid enough to trade for that contract. I feel confident that Jerry will not draft a QB even if we have the number one pick overall.

2024 Week Six: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

I don't think you realize how much of Dak's contract is fully guaranteed. Dak is ours, like it or not. Jerry won't draft a QB with so much money committed to Dak. We'll get a high pick regardless. We suck.

We have to be realistic. Dak's contract would make it very difficult on the Cowboys if he got hurt.

Lance? Ask anyone here. i agree that Lance is terrible. I hated the trade. But at least Lance can run. The idea is that we have way too much money invested in Dak to risk him getting hurt in a game like this. Career-ending injuries do still happen. Like I didn't see how Aidan got hurt, but I...
