    Al Michaels busted for DUI

As he realizes what is happening, does Michaels drunkenly mutter a play-by-play account of events as they unfold?

    Redskins Name Change Proposed

"Redtails" ... that's an unexpected solution. Not half bad. Some irony too, as Pep suggests.

Revis traded to the Bucs for 13th overall pick

Had the Bucs been able to hold their water, they could have gotten Revis for less (e.g., a 2nd round + conditional pick).

Dolphins: New logo coming in 30 days

Then again, I guess we should be happy that Goodell hasn't instituted anti-intimidating logo rules. :) (Given how the game is being softened up, can Sesame Street inspired logos be far behind?)

Dolphins: New logo coming in 30 days

That one is not so bad. (Even though I'm more of a fan of tradition.) In all honesty, I'm far more concerned with / alienated by the slew of rules changes that the NFL has instituted in recent years than I am by changes in logos.

49ers deal Alex Smith to Chiefs done

Smith is a good match for KC. In KC, Smith won't have to carry their team, he just has to be competent. He can do that. He'll improve their team. Romo would be outstanding in a situation like that (... a situation in which he isn't constantly asked to do too much.)

Annonymous Poll: How do you feel about the RG3 Injury

Many years ago I was told a sad story about a mother who was out with her children near a national park. The family saw a bear. Instead of attempting to avoid the bear, the mother assumed it was a friendly bear. She put jelly on the hands of one of her kids and encouraged the child to feed the...

Per everyone on twitter, Reid to KC is pretty much a done deal

If so, it'll be interesting to see what he can do in KC. Not sure why, but I find myself wishing him well.

Giants have tough roster decisions to make

What would he do if he retired? Twiddle his thumbs? Yell at children to stay off of his lawn? My guess is that he's one of those one-dimensional types who doesn't have a life outside of coaching. It is all he knows. Coach or die.

Harbaugh: 49ers will start 'hot hand'

For every Tom Brady there are at least a dozen Elvis Grbacs. ... but more to the point, I believe in Tom Landry's rule that starters do not lose their positions due to injury. Rarely did Landry go against this rule. He believed that when players believed they'd lose their jobs if injured...

Harbaugh: 49ers will start 'hot hand'

Harbaugh is a fine coach, but he's making a mistake in this case. Your starting QB shouldn't lose his starting job due to an injury .... particularly when he (Smith) had been playing well. Give NFL defensive coordinators a few full games of film on Kaepernick and then we'll see how great he is.
