He got some tough yards after first contact and even Felix had to slip through some tight holes on his big gains. He's a high motor, full effort guy though and i thought he'd do well here. He exceeded even my expectations, with that being his first game with the team in less than a week of practice leading up to it.Impressed with Sammy at all?I understand what you're talking about.. and contrary to what most on here believe, i was a big fan of his. He has given us years of solid play, but its become apparent the last couple that his play is not what it used to be. I guess i can understand defending him as much as possible by most, he's a Cowboy, and we all have a little Cowboy homer in us, but it was clear that whether it be injuries or confidence, his play early this year and late was not up to his usual standards. Its frustrating, but that's the way it is.Yea, he's an idiot. Just glad people are finally starting to realize that Newman just doesn't bring it like he used to. I thought he had turned a corner and was going to start proving me wrong after a few games in the middle of the season when he played really well, but then after he got beat deep early in the Redskins game, he seemed to lose all confidence and regress back to his soft and safe type play. I hope he regains his "swag" and plays balls out the rest of the year, but i won't hold my breath.
