The current state of our linebacker group is suspect at best. I would give strong consideration to trying to sign Bobby Wagner. He would bring veteran experience and could be the QB of the defense. The guy can still play. Then go draft a top linebacker to add to the group and you would improve greatly. The writing is on the wall for one of the two first round picks to be a linebacker. Surely CP is all over this.

Bobby Wagner is pretty damn old at this point (will be 36 in a couple months). I'd rather find younger solutions.
While still somewhat productive for Dan Quinn, there were plenty of times you could see the age catch up to him the past couple of seasons, especially in space. Still makes a ton of tackles and was decent as a blitzer last yr, but it's very telling to me that the HC of the team that is probably his biggest fan apparently doesn't want the guy back.
Dude has had an awesome, HoF worthy career though and despite his age, I saw he has not missed a single game in the past 7 seasons. Last time he missed a game was 2018.

Maybe, although this is a pretty good LB draft overall. There's quite a few guys who will be day two and probably even early day three picks who end up starting or playing key roles.
