I just listened to the new defensive coaches that they interviewed at the combine. The more I hear from this defensive staff the better I feel about this upcoming season!

I am really liking what I have been hearing from all of them.

This definitely “feels” different than years past

Posts today from Aubrey's wife and his agent both seem to dispute the story that he turned down the Cowboys deal and demanded 10mils+ per yr.

Agree Amigo, seems like a lot of smart guys. We're gonna finally see some creativity on that side of the ball.

I can't wait to see what kinds of players we get in free agency and draft.

The latest hire was spectacular. Icing on the cake.

Everything I’m hearing and seeing from this staff is encouraging.

They all talk about being teachers first and catering what they are teaching to the way each player learns and they talk about finding out the players strengths and building the scheme and game plan around their strengths.

No more trying to fit a round peg into a square hole.

I just hope that our players are smart enough to pick up this new complicated defense. These interviews give me hope that they can get these guys on the same page

I just need to see it before I can start to believe

This was a really smart move to protect themselves. Had he not been tendered at this level someone could have nabbed him with no compensation, and MAYBE we get a comp pick in 2027.

Now they could potentially trade him (nobody is giving a 2nd I would think) but at least they MAY could nab a 3rd or perhaps a 4th and some other late pick. And they'd get pick/s THIS yr rather than next yr.

Of course if you read IdiotZone, none of those fucktards seem to get that.

Or if no interest, he's assured of staying here another year and we have great interior OL depth.

Highlights from Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer’s availability at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis:

- Hasn't spoken to George Pickens but plans to before the tag is placed. Still wants him back long-term
- The starting point of evolving the offense in 2026 is "moving George Pickens around"
- Donovan Ezeiruaku and Marist Liufau are now OLBs - Says Shavon Revel Jr. is "finally healthy"
- Comfortable with the current state of the RB room behind Javonte Williams. Wants to use Hunter Luepke more in 2026 - Complimented Christian Parker's ability to get young players to produce early. He wants players that can play early (bad sign for injury red flags such as Jermod McCoy?)
- Going to move the 3 DTs around, Kenny Clark expected to get most of the NT work
- Wants balance of young and veteran in the EDGE room
- Wants T.J. Bass and Brock Hoffman back as depth OL but understands they could be starters elsewhere in the league
- Isn't an arm length hater

with how much the offense is being paid you should not need a kicker that wants more than what you just paid your RB

but total points scored last season ?

aubrey 155
williams 78
Most team's kickers usually lead them in pts.
