That's what it is like here in NJ too. It is unaffordable. So Democrats started an affordable housing mandate which requires towns to build low income housing. An unelected group known as the "Fair Housing Center" is basically in charge of the program determining if town comply or not. This thing is a boon for builders but it is destroying small towns like mine. Basically this state is saying that you cannot keep people out of your town by valuing property so high they can't afford to live there. It is the most ridiculous thing they have come up with yet. So far in my town they have build about 500 affordable homes and they are mandating we build almost 500 more. My town is about 5000 people. There is no place else to build. Almost all the empty lots have been developed to the point where deer, fox, coyotes, wild turkeys are roaming neighborhoods because the wooded areas they once lived are all gone. Now the state is trying to figure out how to deer with the deer population.

This is what Democrats do. The come up with crazy ideas that don't work and then force them even harder on us thinking more of the same will make it better.
