in case anyone can’t read the above link:

For 2 Decades, Rob Reiner waged a relentless campaign of hatred, distortion, and defamation against Donald J. Trump. This wasn’t merely Hollywood bias or political theater — it was a calculated, obsessive effort to smear a man he clearly despised. From long before Trump’s first campaign, through his presidency, and even as Trump continued to lead and represent millions of Americans, Reiner used his platform to incite division, fuel misinformation, and stoke public hostility. His rhetoric didn’t just shape public perception — it poisoned it. What follows is just a partial, chronological record of Reiner’s own words — quoted exactly as he said them, without excuse, justification, or interpretation — so Americans can clearly see the pattern of obsessive hatred that Reiner made his legacy.
Looking at all of this, it is easy to justify ANYTHING Trump may have said about him, and a lot he never did.
As talented as Rob Reiner was, he was a very hateful person.

Rob Reiner’s Statements About Donald Trump (2015–2025)

What follows is a chronological record of SOME OF the negative statements made by actor and director Rob Reiner about Donald J. Trump from the beginning of Trump’s presidential campaign through 2025. This record documents patterns of hostility, exaggeration, reckless accusation, and repeated defamatory language, including statements that were later shown to be false, unproven, or legally incorrect.

There is no defense for Reiner’s statements. His words are preserved for the record, to show motive, escalation, and repetition.

2015 – Immediate Opposition to Trump’s Campaign

June–December 2015
As soon as Donald Trump announced his candidacy, Rob Reiner publicly opposed him. Reiner repeatedly criticized Trump’s immigration proposals and nationalist rhetoric, describing Trump’s message as “divisive,” “dangerous,” “xenophobic,” and “un-American.”

These remarks were political attacks rather than factual claims, but they marked the beginning of Reiner’s public fixation on Trump and set the tone for what would follow.

2016 – Campaign Attacks and Post‑Election Rage

May 5, 2016 – MSNBC, Morning Joe
Reiner attacked Trump’s legitimacy and sanity, stating:

“If he was not a celebrity, the words that come out of his mouth would make him look like a lunatic in the park standing on a soapbox.”

This was a personal attack, not a factual statement.

November 14, 2016 – National Archives event
Following Trump’s election victory, Reiner escalated his rhetoric dramatically. He stated:

“We are fighting the last big major battle of the Civil War.”

He repeatedly suggested Trump’s election was racially motivated and compared public protests against Trump to events surrounding Abraham Lincoln’s election. Reiner then declared:

“It’s embarrassing that somebody who has a national platform would softball this moron… He’s a moron. The press normalized him. That’s a disgrace.”

These remarks consisted of insults, racial insinuations, and historical distortion, not facts.

2017 – Claims of Mental Unfitness

December 2017 – Dubai International Film Festival / Variety
Reiner stated:

“Donald Trump is the single most unqualified human being to ever assume the presidency of the United States. He is mentally unfit. Not only does he not understand how government works, he has no interest in trying to find out how it works.”

These claims were diagnostic assertions without medical authority and represent defamatory opinion presented as fact.

Later in 2017, Reiner co‑founded the Committee to Investigate Russia, promoting the narrative that Trump’s presidency was illegitimate and controlled by foreign powers — a theme that would later result in outright false accusations.

2018 – Calls for Impeachment and Treason Accusations

February 2018 – The Independent
Reiner framed Trump’s presidency as a threat to democracy, stating:

“We’ve got this battle… of whether democracy survives — what is true and what is not true.”

August 2018 – Twitter
Reiner tweeted:

“Each day this mentally unstable man takes a step closer to destroying 242 years of self‑rule… impeachment is inevitable.”

Trump was not removed from office. The statement was speculative and false in outcome.

December 20, 2018 – Twitter (TREASON CLAIM)
Reiner made one of his most extreme and provably false accusations, writing:

“Donald Trump is committing Treason against the United States of America. He is aiding and abetting the enemy… He has turned the world’s oldest Democracy into a wholly owned subsidiary of Vladimir Putin.”

This is a false accusation of treason, unsupported by any investigation.
No court, no intelligence agency, and no special counsel concluded Trump committed treason or was controlled by Russia. This statement constitutes defamatory falsehood.

December 20, 2018 – Twitter (continued)
Reiner added:

“A man cheats on his wife just after she gives birth. He robs people of their life savings through his fake university. He uses his phony foundation to pay his legal fees.”

While some elements reference real civil cases, Reiner presented them as moral indictment and character assassination, not legal findings.

2019 – “Racist Liar” Labeling

October 22, 2019 – Twitter
In response to Trump calling impeachment a “lynching,” Reiner wrote:

“Democracy is being lynched by a Racist Liar.”

This is pure defamatory labeling, not a factual statement.

2020 – Pandemic Blame and Democracy Claims

Throughout 2020, Reiner repeatedly blamed Trump personally for COVID‑19 deaths, stating Trump had “blood on his hands” and accusing him of deliberately killing Americans through misinformation.

These statements are political blame narratives, not legally or scientifically provable claims.

Reiner also claimed Trump was attempting to “destroy democracy” by questioning election integrity — rhetoric that intensified hostility during an already volatile election year.

2021 – January 6 and Coup Accusations

January 2021 – Twitter
Reiner declared Trump:

“The instigator of a deadly insurrection.”

This was stated before any criminal conviction and framed as fact.
At the time, this was an unproven accusation.

2022 – Claims Trump “Led” an Insurrection

Mid‑2022 – CNN interview
Reiner stated:

“Trump was at the hub of all this… it was Trump’s operation altogether.”

July 2022 – Twitter
He wrote:

“Every day Trump isn’t indicted for leading a deadly insurrection brings us closer to the end of democracy.”

Again, these were assertions of criminal leadership without adjudication.

2023 – “Criminal” Labeling After Indictments

June 2023 – Twitter
Following indictments (not convictions), Reiner wrote:

“Indictment #2. Couldn’t happen to a nicer criminal.”

At this point, Trump was not convicted of any crime.
Calling him a criminal was factually false.

2024 – Extreme Dehumanization

February 2024 – The Guardian
Reiner stated:

“Another guy who’s a criminal, who basically lies every minute of his life… indicted 91 times.”

He further compared Trump to:

“A zombie or a cockroach.”

This represents dehumanization and defamatory exaggeration.

August 2024 – ITV, Good Morning Britain
Reiner claimed Trump was driven by “white Christian nationalism,” cared only about himself, and again labeled him “a criminal.”

These were repeated false legal assertions.

2025 – Final Escalation

September–October 2025 – MSNBC / Daily Beast / CNN
Reiner compared America under Trump to Nazi Germany, warned of imminent dictatorship, and stated:

“This is a man who’s a convicted felon.”

At the time of this statement, Trump had not been convicted of a felony.
This is a verifiable falsehood.

Summary

Across teo decades, Rob Reiner engaged in a consistent, escalating pattern of hostility toward Donald Trump that included:

• Repeated false accusations of treason
• Calling Trump a criminal before conviction
• Claims of mental illness without authority
• Comparing Trump to Nazis, cockroaches, and dictators
• Presenting unproven allegations as established fact

This record demonstrates motive, obsession, and recklessness, not reasoned criticism.

It is EASY to understand Why Trump was not eager to show him kindness, even in Death. Yet, he did pray that he REST IN PEACE!
