We come up with all sorts of videos, interviews, highlight clips etc etc

Here's a thread to store them all.

I'll get it started with one that was posted today on X. MNF Season Opener in 1992

I remember Mel Gray lol. Amazing no other player in history has scored more TDs against us!

Look how many Emmitt has in his pockets - all of our division rivals of course. Annnnd Phoenix.

From Harvey Martin's autobiography Texas Thunder...

The Cowboys had a major rivalry with the St Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals' lightning-quick receiver Mel Gray always seemed to burn us on long touchdown receptions. Each time he caught a touchdown pass against us, he wheeled around and spiked the ball in the end zone, which I felt embarrassed our defensive backs.

1976 was no different. He caught a long touchdown pass against us, but this time there was a difference. When I saw him catch the pass, I ran down the field after him and, as he wheeled to spike the ball, pointed my finger straight into his face. "You spike the ball," I growled, "and I'll break your fucking nose again." Gray looked at me and decided not to spike the ball. His nose had been broken three weeks before against Green Bay, and he figured I meant what I said.

At one time, there were 6 (SIX!) preseason games.

In 1972 the Cowboys played SEVEN preseason games, because as World Champs they had the honor of playing the College All-Stars team (a tradition which ended in 1976)...

This gave Robert Newhouse the unique distinction in Cowboys' history of being the only Cowboys player to score a TD against the Cowboys. He scored the All-Stars only TD as the Cowboys won 20-7...
