Dandy Don's final game - the '68 Playoff Bowl. He was mic'ed up for the game along with Jim Marshall, DE of the Vikings, who sadly passed away just a few weeks ago. Vince Lombardi called it the Loser Bowl, but you can see how important it was to Meredith to win this, showing true leadership throughout...

Those were the Cowboys that hooked me in as a fan. An actual football team where results on the field mattered, and a front office who knew what they were doing and for a while was the best at what they did. Not this shit show abomination that we have been saddled with for decades.

Looks like Yankee Stadium in the background of these photos. They must have been taken on December 4th 1960, before the 31-31 tie with the Giants (the only game the Cowboys didn't lose that inaugural season).

Billy Howton passed away last week aged 95. Can't be many still alive that were on the 1960 roster.
