Game Day Chatter - 2011 Week 1 - Dallas @ New York Jets

A thread for all this weekends action. And really, tonights game of the Saints vs Packers should be great. I'm just going to make a point to not tune in until about 8:45 or so.

I don't like how they're turning the kick off evening into a concert and carnival - and I imagine it'll be worse being the 9/11 10 year anniversary.

I think I heard something this morning about Bon Jovi signing America the Beautiful before kick off? Shoot me in the face.

Vegas Odds for NFC games of note this weekend...

Green Bay -4.5 vs New Orleans

Tampa Bay -1.5 vs Detroit

Atlanta - 3 @ Chicago

Philadelphia -4.5 @ St Louis

New York Giants - 3 @ Washington - This line opened at NYG -3.5 back in late July or early August. I jumped on it for $250 and felt good about it. But since then the Giants have been ravaged by injuries, and the Redskins have looked good. I consider it flushed money at this point.


New York Jets -4.5 vs Dallas - This is what the line opened at back in either late July or early August when they first posted the lines. I jumped on it for $250 and felt real good about it. The line crept to -4, but yesterday afternoon went back up to 4.5. I no longer like this wager.

Archer and others are reporting he's back at practice. Please let him be able to play, and play well.
